🚨 Trump and the US government are preparing to start another war. This time against the Cuban people. Trump claims that Cuba poses a threat to US and regional security yet we know that this is false and part of a campaign to manufacture consent for an unprovoked war.  At the same time, the US is increasing its military presence around Cuba. US aggressions are unjustified and are part of an imperialist campaign to reconquer Latin America and the Caribbean as part of the Trump Corollary of the Monroe Doctrine.  📣The IPA calls on anti-imperialist and people’s organizations world wide to take action to protest US aggressions at US embassies, consulates and public places and stand in solidarity with the Cuban people. 🇳🇵Nepal’s March 2026 elections and the defeat of its traditional communist parties remind us that people want results, not just slogans and promises. Throughout the last half century, Nepal’s people’s movements transformed a web of feudalism into a federal democratic republic, with a popular Nepal Communist Party-led government in 2017. Although the government had the people’s mandate, the ruling party lacked ideological clarity. They failed to articulate clear positions on structural issues such as control over the means of production and the role of the state. 🇱🇧🇮🇷🇨🇺🇻🇪 From Lebanon to Iran, Cuba to Venezuela, nations refusing submission to U.S.-Israeli domination are facing airstrikes, sanctions, siege, destabilization, and open threats of regime change. Lebanon faces ongoing occupation, airstrikes, and attacks on civilians despite repeated ceasefire agreements. Iran remains under military siege and economic strangulation as Washington threatens renewed war if Tehran refuses surrender. Cuba continues to endure one of the longest blockades in history, now intensified through fuel restrictions and threats of intervention. Venezuela has faced bombing, sanctions, and the continued detention of Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores following. These illegal attacks on sovereign nations do NOT bring “security”, “democracy”, “stability”, or “human rights” to any population. They starve populations, devastate civilian infrastructure, and force independent nations into submission as the U.S. attempts to mantain its global hegemony. As the Global South rises, the pressure intensifies. Hands off Lebanon. Hands off Iran. Hands off Cuba. Hands off Venezuela. Defend sovereignty. Self-determination is not negotiable.

🇨🇺 We will not be gaslighted by western media!  On May 17th, 2026, Axios – an US news website – claimed that Cuba had purchased 300 drones from Russia and Iran, causing a frenzy of media outlets publishing headlines like “Cuba Considers Striking the US with Iranian and Russian Drones in an Emergency." Major news agencies attempted to verify the story by contacting Axios and the Pentagon, but they have responded saying they have nothing to provide. Zero public evidence: no satellite imagery, no drone debris, and no financial receipts. Even U.S. officials openly admit Cuba poses zero offensive danger.  We have seen this playbook before, most notably Colin Powell's 2003 claims about the alleged WMD in Iraq. The US tries to gaslight the world into supporting its imperialist wars.  Coupled with the recent indictment of Raúl Castro, it is clear these unverified claims are a calculated political attack, part of Trump's broader campaign of a "friendly takeover."  Cuba's Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez calls this a "fraudulent case" to justify economic ‌sanctions and potential military intervention.  ✊ Sovereignty for the Cuban people! 🇧🇴The Bolivian people continue to mobilize against the U.S.-backed far-right government of Rodrigo Paz.  For more than two weeks, workers, campesinos, Indigenous peoples, miners, teachers, and transport workers have carried out mass protests against privatization of electricity, water, fuel, and other essential services, as well as austerity, rising prices, and the deepening economic and political crisis. Demonstrators are being labeled as “destabilizers” linked to narcotrafficking. The mobilizations are facing murderous repression, with thousands of police and military forces deployed.  Despite the arrests, injuries, and killings, the mobilizations continue, demanding dignity, economic justice, sovereignty, and the resignation of a government they say does not represent them. 🇨🇳 Trump – alongside executives from Apple, Tesla, BlackRock, Boeing, and Nvidia – concluded his meeting in Beijing with Xi Jinping. This was the first US state visit to China in nine years.  While this may appear to be a thaw between Washington and Beijing, US imperialist actions speak otherwise.  Sanctions continue, arms deals advance, and new military deployments deepen. The US continues expanding its military architecture across Asia: a “kill web” is linking Korea, Japan, and the Philippines, alongside war exercises, sanctions, and arms packages aimed to surround China.  This hyperimperialist military expansion follows the US’s failed economic containment of China. US corporations remain dependent on the Chinese market, while Trump’s failed tariff war against China ended up hurting its own economy and people. 🇵🇸 From the 1948 Nakba to today, Israeli prisons have functioned as a central tool of occupation, shaping Palestinian daily life, and intending to squash political organization and resistance across generations. What began in the 1948 Nakba detention camps developed into a structured military prison system based on mass arrests, administrative detention, and the routine incarceration of children, activists, and entire communities. For decades, Israeli prisons have functioned as an integral mechanism of repression by the Israeli state and, at the same time, have become a space for the political education of prisoners, where hunger strikes, collective organizing, and resistance inside cells became central to Palestinian political life, powerfully informing the global struggle for its liberation. Today, mass arrests and the passage of “Death Penalty Law” represent an escalation of the Zionist carceral system. For Palestinians, this issue is not merely humanitarian, but deeply political. The prison has become a microcosm of the Palestinian condition under settler colonialism. 🇻🇪 On April 24, the US Treasury (OFAC) issued licenses allowing the Venezuelan government to fund Maduro and Cilia’s legal defense. This came only after defense attorneys argued the block was a blatant violation of the Sixth Amendment right to counsel.  But neither the easing of sanctions nor the tactical granting of legal funds changes the fact that the deadly January 3 attacks on Caracas breached international law on the principle of non-intervention, and their illegal kidnapping violated Venezuelan sovereignty under the UN Charter.  The January 3 rogue crime of aggression cannot continue going unanswered. 🚩 Whose labor runs the world?  It is the working class who keeps societies functioning, even under siege. From Palestine to Cuba, Venezuela to Lebanon, teachers, doctors, chefs, and builders continue providing for their communities. The working class is a global force, and today we demonstrate our power in a way that cannot be ignored! We also remember that workers’ liberation anywhere goes hand in hand with liberation from imperialism everywhere!  On May 1, 1886, hundreds of thousands took to the streets in Chicago. The Haymarket Affair saw police repression and a bombing that resulted in the scapegoating and execution of labor organizers like Albert Parsons. His final words were: “Let the voice of the people be heard!” This did not silence the message of May 1st. The struggle spread and in 1889, the Second International declared May 1 International Workers’ Day. Efforts to suppress the growing unity followed: the US set Labor Day in September, distancing itself from May 1 (1894), May 1 was termed “Americanization Day” (1921), then later was termed "Loyalty Day" during the Cold War (1955).  May 1 is no ordinary holiday, but a global demonstration of power.
