As someone caught between the camps, I am totally willing to hear out the “everything is fine, actually” takes on the dating discourse.
However 99 percent of these opinions are just “Boomers” aggressively missing the point. At least the Zoomers are able to repeat their opponents arguments correctly.

There's a popular claim in online dating discourse that women only want the top 10-15% of men. The data says this is false. 87% of 40-year-olds in 2000 had married. They did their dating in the 80s and 90s, after the cultural revolution but before swipe apps. If 85% of women only wanted the top 15% of men, that marriage rate would be mathematically impossible. The pattern is a dating app artifact, not female nature.

@bumbadum14 When you've had a woman in love with you, you learn that their love is an all-consuming thing. They would surgically graft themselves to you if possible. You have to carefully balance keeping your independence and keeping her happy.

I love my mother. But literally every single time my stepdad went to the gym she would get upset.
She would lose her mind talking about how he would rather be at Judo, or out on the ranch, and be anywhere else BUT with her.
There was a point that him going and doing anything alone was a serious issue with her and they almost got divorced over it.
Thankfully she got over it but all of this advice is almost entirely incongruent with anything any man has seen in the past 30 years.

Correct, real world hypergamy sees the bottom 20% of men excluded not the bottom 80%. App constraints have no evolutionary basis in how women actually choose men.

The "women only want the top 10-15% of men" claim conflates two things. Female selectivity exceeds male selectivity, which is real and well-documented. In speed-dating, women say yes to ~25-50% of men, men say yes to ~50-75% of women. About 2x more selective, not 6-7x. The Tinder version of female selectivity is a dating app artifact of photo-based selection, not the natural rate.

I think it's idiotic to overreact to a couple of elections in blue states, but a few thoughts:
1) Scot Pressler, TPUSA, and a bunch of others have been working hard to register voters. I said it in 2022, and I've said it repeatedly since: our coalition is "lower propensity" and that means we have to do better at turning out voters than we have in the past.
2) We need to focus on the home front. The president has done a lot that has already paid off in lower interest rates and lower inflation, but we inherited a disaster from Joe Biden and Rome wasn't built in a day. We're going to keep on working to make a decent life affordable in this country, and that's the metric by which we'll ultimately be judged in 2026 and beyond.
3) The infighting is stupid. I care about my fellow citizens--particularly young Americans--being able to afford a decent life, I care about immigration and our sovereignty, and I care about establishing peace overseas so our resources can be focused at home. If you care about those things too, let's work together.

If we don't improve the economic condition of young Americans, Mamdani and the destructive ideas he espouses will continue to spread. When young people have faith in their own economic future, when they own homes, and when they get married and have children, they have a stake in the country. They have skin in the game. Perpetually single, childless renters are easier to radicalize by those who want to destroy Western Civilization.
We need a moon shot, Manhattan Project-style:
10 million new homes in 3 years
20 million deportations and self-deportations
Reform and reduce legal immigration
