@AndaristRake @c_pick That's one of the reasons I'm considering just using whatever version VS Code currently has built-in, to make it as simple as possible across a team. Auto-prompt sounds good though but it can only be done through a setting, right? Which again would be up to the dev to have set.

@c_pick @perdjurner note that wont enforce it for the whole team, it's quite annoying :S it's good to also enable auto-prompting for this thing so other teammates can opt-into this as well

Is it a good practice to use the same TypeScript version for your project as the one VS Code has built-in (currently 4.9.4)? 🤔

@perdjurner Commit. We all kind of try to do this when feasible. Too easy to get burned with complex JS files even after the whole CI a d even review process.

Spent an hour debugging what turned out to be a freakin typo. I had almost forgotten what a crappy feeling that is since I’ve been using mainly TypeScript for years.

@alvarlagerlof Makes sense I guess, only for yourself or do you actually commit the changes to the project too?

@perdjurner The first thing I do when trying to edit a JS file and is not urgent is to convert it to typescript.
