Tomorrow we will bury my Father. He was a good man. Dan Dawson worked 3 jobs while Sean and I were growing up so our Mom could stay home and raise us kids. My Dad instilled in me a solid work ethic. He always warned me about the trap of only doing a good job when everyone is looking. He taught me that good work is it's own reward. We had a rule in my house since I was 12 years old: Every summer we had to work 40 hours a week and turn our paychecks over to Dad to put in the college fund. If we worked while we were in school, we got to keep that money. The day I graduated from UCSB my Dad said, "Congratulations, Michael. You have a college degree and no debt. You can do anything you want." If not for my Father, my life's path would have been wildly different. I will always be grateful for all he has given me. I love you, Dad. Rest well. I'll see you on the other side.
