Ben şu soruyu sormak istiyorum, cidden samimi bir şekilde soruyorum, herhangi bir eleştiri veya sorgulama derdim yok. Bu dava yıllardır sürüyor, istediği an bu davayı bitirebilirdi, ben mağdur görülüyorum davada, ben mağdur değilim, Özgür Özel meşru genel başkandır deyip çekilebilirdi. Dava düşerdi doğrudan. Turkey is a NATO partner, an EU candidate country and a Council of Europe member. That is exactly why Europe cannot look away. The latest ruling against the Republican People’s Party, pressure on opposition leaders, universities, journalists and independent institutions point to a wider assault on democracy. Dialogue with Ankara matters. But courts cannot be used to redesign the opposition, silence elected leaders or intimidate free voices. Strategic cooperation must never mean democratic silence.
