@LyricOfWisdom Hi, I think it’s worth mentioning that travel expenses incurred in this instance are generally tax deductible. If you have receipts for airfare, Uber, hotels, etc you can absolutely claim those expenses against your taxable income. Talk to your tax pro!

People don't realize that even at some of these majors, you don't even make what it's worth to cover a hotel in your "pay". I've essentially paid to cast over the past 2 years. Like I said, was it worth it? Probably, but man does it HURT

Last year I made a very irresponsible choice to sink $4,000+ to pay for my commentary traveling, I never had 100% of my expenses covered for any major I went to other than 1. 11 events, $4,000+ of debt later, and this is the last of what I need to pay off. I’m so stoked 😭

@Hoodyhooo @Hyferia @BassFromThePast @SpooksCasts The entire industry bleeds money from the top down. Esports exists from a combination of speculative investment and marketing expenses from publishers/devs. Only the biggest of big orgs are profitable from as you said merchandise and sponsorships.
