I FINALLY DID IT. I've completed my collection of every single physical Pokemon game ever made. Everyone knows the trading card game is going NUTS right now, but most people forget how many hours we spent playing these games growing up. They were ICONIC. Something tells me these are about to 1000X in value in the next few months and a full set could be worth MILLIONS. Easiest investment of our lifetime.

Day 32: A hackathon wants me to launch a crypto token. Should I?

We just entered the EasyA Consensus hackathon. Grand prize: trip to Miami, $10K, pitch slot at Consensus in front of VCs. The catch: you have to launch a crypto token for your project. We're building a trust and reputation platform. Launching a token to enter a hackathon might send the wrong message. But a stage at Consensus? Hard to say no. Meanwhile our launch video is in progress. Using Remotion, fal.ai, Epidemic Sound, might try the Adobe After Effects MCP next. Going to learn every tool we need and ship this the right way. Should we launch the token? Yes or no. Day 32.

Cursor just dropped their agent harness as an SDK. Anyone can now build agents with the same runtime that powers Cursor. Run locally or cloud. Plug in any model. They even have their own model (Composer 2) competing directly with Claude and GPT. Sam Altman said yesterday the model and harness are one and the same. Today Cursor proved him wrong. And they built a Kanban board where you drop in tasks and the agent completes them. On Day 27 I showed how we do this with Claude Code + GitHub CLI. Cursor just built it into the product. AI tools are moving so fast that the tool you used yesterday might be obsolete tomorrow. Including mine. Day 31.

Day 30. Biggest release yet is coming. Full gamification system for Basement. Leveling, badges, reputation. iOS, Chrome extension, new landing page. Five workstreams. Now we need a launch video. Problem: none of us have ever made one. The plan: study every great launch video we can find. Watch tutorials. Use Claude to script it. Figure it out live. Day 29: We're turning browsing into an RPG

What if browsing the internet had a leveling system? We're building a full reputation system for Basement. Every URL is a room. Wake it up and you become a founder of that room. Four badge types: Standard, Shiny, Gilded, and Obsidian (the rarest). You earn them by contributing. Waking up rooms, providing value, being right. The more you put in, the higher your level. I got scammed online last week. Fake reviews. Inflated price. Listing looked perfect. 40% of online reviews are fake. The platforms don't care because they make money either way. So what do people do? Google it. Check Reddit. Open twelve tabs. By the time you find the truth, you're on a completely different site. The problem isn't that the information doesn't exist. It's that it's never on the page where you need it. So I built Basement. Highlight anything on any page. Annotate it. Flag a fake review. Pin a better price. Every product gets a live Score, 0 to 100, telling you how confident to be. And we're building a reputation layer where trust is earned by being right, not by being loud. Fair point. The hook was framed for the video but the problem is real. I have overpaid for things because of fake reviews and inflated listings. That frustration is genuinely part of why we’re building this. You’re right that a product about trust should lead with trust. Appreciate the callout.

@peronif5 You started building Basement weeks ago because you "got scammed online last week"? I hope your product is great and I wish you all the best for and with it - but this kind of marketing imo isn't helpful if your product is about trust and reputation.
