I've joined @meleemarkets as their growth lead. Rejoining forces with some of my favorite people: @itsmaximilian @NickPreszler @kaitrias @zen_llama @kermit5329 and @entheox. Why Melee? AI is compressing information cycles to near zero. When information moves that fast, the only thing that keeps up is a market. Prediction markets are the rails built for that world. There has never been a better moment to build this. Melee is a category defining prediction market with *redacted* making it unlike anything else out there and uniquely positioned to dominate. Soon you will see what happens when a group of very hardworking people lock in. More soon.

Every time Anthropic launches a new Claude feature, and they do it like three times a week, I run to check the documentation. And every single time they have documentation ready. It is actually amazing. Really amazing.

After six and a half years, a few weeks ago I wrapped up my time at Ava Labs. I’m incredibly grateful to have worked alongside such a talented and passionate team and to have been part of the company’s growth. Sitting in a small room in a co-working space in 2019, I never could have imagined the size, scale, or impact Avalanche has grown to. I’m especially proud of what we’ve built as part of the broader Avalanche ecosystem and plan to remain an active member going forward. I’m also thankful for the tremendous opportunities I’ve had, including the chance to work with many amazing coworkers who shaped my experience along the way. It was a very difficult decision to close what was an amazing and formative chapter of my career, but I feel it is the right one for me right now as I take some time off to regroup and reset. As always, there is a lot of meaningful and exciting engineering work underway on Avalanche. In the broader picture, things are just getting started. I’m confident the team will continue to deliver, and I’ll be cheering and following closely. 🔺

Excited to unveil that the Solana Foundation has built a programmable consumer investing app powered by tokenized stocks When a user buys from Starbucks, Apple, Nike, Uber, or any supported brand, the app automatically buys a small amount of that company’s tokenized stock using predefined user rules

Your grandparents had grandparents. They had grandparents. Somewhere back there, someone got on a boat, or didn't. Someone changed their name, or had it changed for them. Someone is buried in a cemetery you've never heard of in a country you've never been to. Most families lose track after two generations. I used AI to push mine back nine. One session with @karpathy's autoresearch pattern: over 100 organized research files. It found a 1940 Norwegian emigrant history with my ancestors in it. Resolved a maiden name question that confused my family for 70 years. Identified relatives no one alive knew existed. The method is simple: set a goal, measure progress, verify against real records, repeat. The AI searches public archives, cross-references birth certificates against cemetery records against church books, and logs everything it finds (and everything it doesn't). Open sourced the whole toolkit. Prompts that do the research for you, archive guides for 20+ countries, starter templates, even a framework for making sense of DNA results. If you have a box of old photos and unanswered questions, this is where to start. github.com/mattprusak/aut…

Claude is getting out of hand. Was building an app with Claude Code and hit a persistent Supabase issue. Asked Claude if it could use the Chrome extension to fix it. Switch tabs… and boom. It was in my Supabase dashboard. Clicking through pages. Debugging. No scripts. No guidance. Just doing the work. We’re not “using tools” anymore. The tools are using themselves 😳

🚨JUST IN: The @SECGov and @CFTC have issued joint, Commission-level interpretive guidance outlining how federal securities laws apply to certain crypto assets and transactions. This follows a submission to OIRA earlier this month signaling the agencies’ intent, and was approved by all three SEC commissioners (Atkins, Peirce, Uyeda) as well as @ChairmanSelig. The guidance establishes a token taxonomy and addresses how activities like staking, mining, airdrops, and wrapping are treated under existing law. Notably, SEC Chair @SECPaulSAtkins says it reflects that most crypto assets are not themselves securities and that investment contracts can come to an end. While interpretive guidance doesn’t change the law, it reflects how regulators intend to apply it, giving the market a clearer directional signal. Separately, this is distinct from the SEC’s still-pending rulemaking on crypto asset offerings.
