@HonitelHQ Finally, someone spoke on my diagnosis My family members complain I don’t call nor visit, I go home once in 3-4 years. When I tell people I don’t miss them cos out of sight is out of my mind for me they call me emotionless. Boarding school did that, I also cried my first day

One of the dark sides of attending a boarding school that I didn’t realize until much later is that I don’t know how to miss people, and it is not a good thing. I can go an entire month without speaking with my loved ones, and it will feel completely normal to me. I have to make extra effort to call or visit. I can go two years without seeing anyone from my family and, as much as I love them, it still feels normal. This is because I spent part of my formative years as a boarder and, you know, going months as a teenager without seeing your family and friends made me condition my mind to be like this. My first day as a boarder, I cried. But as time went on, it became easier. Subsequently, it became normal. Now, out of sight is literally out of mind for me. I’m the one who calls less, visits less, and talks to people less now. I can count how many times I went home throughout my undergraduate years. Very few. And this is not a good thing. It really isn’t. The ability to miss people is something that should never be taken away from anyone. For the umpteenth time, please don’t send your children to boarding school. The downside is more than the upside.

I think you begin to lose the ability to hold grudges as you grow older. You also find going back and forth with people very stressful… idk if it’s just me😭

For every action, there’s a reaction and you don’t get to tell people how to behave when they are violated. As I am, I don’t talk to people younger than me anyhow cos I don’t want a child to disrespect or beat me. You can’t hit a stranger and expect them to be looking at you

Seeing all these gists of beating elderly people hmm, you need to be in that position to judge tbh. When I was still staying in ib, my male landlord slapped me and I used my wooden door to damage his head. I was furious, it was my friends voices that brought me out of the anger

Sorry, I’m not buying your skirt for 49,500 tinubu naira and I’m not buying your short gown with less than 3yards of material for 72,000 just because you’ve named it a fancy princess name. We seem to forget that we’re poor in this country. The target audience will buy it though. I’m not the target audience and that’s fine. Wtf?? Lovely designs though 🧡🙏🙏

One thing about simp men is that, in their mind they are keeping their home peaceful by doing chores like this. Meanwhile that woman is on her phone observing other masculine men, and adoring their masculinity. It’s not and has never been a man’s duty to bath a new born. No matter how you bath that child today, if you don’t pay the school fees when he’s grown both the child and the mother will call you a useless father and husband. Your duty as a man is loving, protecting and providing for your family.
Ossai of Enugu@ossaivictor1_

Even at that, a dad can bath his baby but the wife is not supposed to be lying down and pressing phone, It shows she's nonchalant and irresponsible, She should be sitting and observing or preparing the baby's food No go marry nonsense keep for house sha

I can't wait for Gen Z’s to completely take over professional spaces and redefine competency separately from appearances and identity norms. Like yes my doctor has her nose pierced and she's great at her job.
