There's only one language @marksandspencer will understand. Disgraceful that they caved in so easily over the Union flag in Northern Ireland. I most certainly will make it my business to withhold my custom for the foreseeable future. #boycottmarksandspencer

Recently, I've gone quiet on here because it felt futile. This decision by the national concert hall is egregiously antisemitic. The producers of the play are both Irish and all thet wanted to do was replicate the voices of those innocent civilians who suffered one of the worst massacres of our time. A massacre which was designed solely to kill as many Jews as possible. That's not our interpretation that's from the words of the maths of the Hamas monsters who videoed themselves. And yes, it was to raise funds for a charity first responder ambulance service which is based in Israel and which manages all casualties without fear or favour including any terrorists who are injured on Israeli soil. it is a non-political organisation, it deals with sick and injured patients: none of this should be influenced by any views about aspects of Israeli government policy about which I and so many others have many deep criticisms Of all the things that have happened in Ireland, of all the protests, the rhetoric, the hate - this decision by the board of presumably educated people is for me the most sickening.

Imagine being so consumed by arrogance, so morally inverted, so breathtakingly ignorant that you look at a verbatim play documenting the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust—and decide to cancel it. Not quietly. Not shamefully. But during the very week the civilized world falls silent to honor six million Jewish men, women, and children who were hunted, starved, and gassed into oblivion by the Nazis. You don’t have to imagine it. Ireland’s National Concert Hall—bankrolled by the Irish taxpayer, draped in the language of culture and public service, supposedly a house belonging to the Irish people—did exactly that. With breathtaking coldness. With institutional cowardice dressed up as policy they looked Holocaust Remembrance Week in the eye and chose censorship anyway. @NCH_Music

Disgraceful! The National Concert Hall in Ireland has cancelled our planned performance of the OCTOBER 7 play. It seems there is no room in Ireland for the truth about Israel. We went to Israel after the massacre to collect the testimony of those who lived through the country’s darkest day. We saw there was a need for the truth in Ireland and further afield. We created a verbatim play from the stories we heard. The New York Post described the OCTOBER 7 play as “compelling”. It has been performed off-Broadway for six weeks and in Princeton, UCLA , Bowdoin College and the Kennedy Center in DC. Every performance was sold out. But now because of the actions of the National Concert Hall Irish people will not be allowed to hear the truth about October 7 and Israel - in the words of those who lived through the day. This is hugely damaging to Ireland’s reputation as a home for art and artists. What a statement this makes! OCTOBER 7 has Jewish and Arab voices. The National Concert Hall has told them: we don't want to hear your stories. It's shameful but will not be allowed to stand. We will bring the OCTOBER 7 play to Ireland.

There are 174 elected members of parliament in ireland. None of them have spoken out about the recent @nch_music decision to cancel the performance of the OCTOBER 7 play.. Does anyone care that Israeli voices are banned in Ireland? The Arab and Israeli victims of Oct 7 have been silenced.  @fiannafailparty @FineGael @independent_ire @sinnfeinireland @SocDems @labour @pb4p @AontuIE @greenparty_ie  @100_redress  Saying nothing is saying something, x.com/October7thepla…

Marszałek Sejmu Włodzimierz Czarzasty i Wicemarszałek Sejmu Szymon Hołownia zasugerowali ukaranie mnie i wykluczenie z posiedzenia Sejmu RP, dlatego, że powiedziałem prawdę o Izraelu. Trudno.

🇵🇱 BREAKING: A Polish MP just brought a swastika into parliament — inside the Star of David on an Israeli flag. "Israel is the new Third Reich." That's not protest. That's not criticism. That's a sitting lawmaker invoking the symbol that murdered six million Jews to attack the Jewish state. Europe spent 80 years drawing red lines. Today, one of its own MPs just erased one on live TV. The silence from Western leaders will be deafening.

NEW: An exhibition in Amsterdam this week memorializing children killed in Gaza appeared to appropriate Holocaust imagery by using shoes to symbolize the Palestinian victims. The event was held on Sunday, less than two days before Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day, or Yom Hashoah, in the Dutch capital’s central Dam Square. It included thousands of shoes arranged in rows, an apparent allusion to iconic displays of the shoes of Holocaust victims throughout Europe. These include the Shoes on the Danube Bank memorial in Budapest, Hungary, and a collection of about 8,000 shoes of child victims of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. The pro-Palestinian group Plant an Olive Tree Foundation, which organized the event, said the shoes were placed to commemorate more than 20,000 children who were killed in Gaza during the war, which began with the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, invasion of Israel.
