@_FindLaFlair You lot underrating Arteta a lot. One of the most demanding coaches who knows how to set a proper culture. Knows how to play expansive, fluid football but with the defenders he has, he's leaning into having a good defense. Give him PSG's front 3 and he'll do what Enrique does.

Chelsea is what Barca would look like if Flick left and someone like Fàbregas or Arteta came in. We’re not as good as people think. Flick is a victim of his own success. He’s set the bar so high that now people act like it’s not enough.

@anii_xix Maresca would be perfect for Vini, Rodrygo, Guler and the midfielders but overall there's not much freedom of movement in his system. Provides a lot of 1v1 situations for his wingers tho.

Why are Madrid not looking at Maresca ? he made this Chelsea side look like they could play football , thrashed Enrique’s PSG and Flick’s Barca 3-0 with the same mediocre side.

@MartienBall I disagree about Arteta not being a world class manager. He did play an extremely beautiful brand of football in 2022 but saw the goals conceded and decided to be more defensively stable. Has beaten Bayern, PSG, City, Liverpool... Every single team in the last few years.

Arteta isn’t a world-class manager and is about to win the league. Chivu has little to no experience and is walking the league against managers like Conte, Spalletti, Allegri and Sarri. At the end of the day, the quality of players decides who’s seen as a ‘great manager’ and who isn’t. That’s why I’ve defended every manager, including Ten Hag, Amorim, Carrick and I’d even defend Sean Dyche. United need to sign quality players first, then judge the manager. Right now, the club is stuck in a cycle where expectations for managers are sky high, but standards for players are far too low.

NEW: Manchester City may have just bottled the Premier League. Arsenal now has an 83% chance to win the League, via Kalshi.

@JohyanCruyff Let him come and back him. Lose the dressing room? Remove the players and bring in new ones. A few crybabies? Sell them and replace them with better players. Problems with the SD's? Get the SD's gone since its a recurring issue. Manager is the one leading the guys, just let him.

🚨 BREAKING: Xabi Alonso YELLED at the PLAYERS in early November, saying: "I DIDN'T KNOW I CAME HERE TO COACH LITTLE CHILDREN!" He said it because some players constantly showed low effort, sulked, and whispered between each other. @marca

@VdykCFC It’s pretty simple. Stop this inverted fullback nonsense and play him as wide overlapping fullback. That is why he has been shit for 2 years and played well under Poch.

@JohyanCruyff Dressing room culture can only change if the manager gets the power and more control over signings. Not saying he should get all the power but he should definitely have a huge say in what he wants in coordination with the SD's.

I defended them under Poch, Potter & Lamps because I said they needed a style of play that suited them I still defend them slightly due to a lack of balance (SD’s/Behdad…) And I could say every winger is out & 75% of the backline is our backups But….

They got Liam sacked for dropping Sanchez when if it wasn’t for him we would’ve conceded double figures & scored 1 at best against PSG If Liam couldn’t lead he had to go, Maresca should’ve been backed, but some of these lot need a long hard look at themselves in the mirror

@iam_brau Xabi Alonso would do that. His demands from players are extremely high and with a young squad like ours they'll listen. Also, the complete opposite of Rosenior in the sense that he commands much more respect in the dressing room.

Roberto De Zerbi is a possession base manager. He rely heavy on possessions using the Midfielders and wingers. If you watch today, Spurs players cover a lot of grounds, they were always running. No matter the possession of football you play, if you don't cover much ground, it will be difficult to outrun your opponent. Chelsea have lazy players and we need a ruthless manager to kick most out or they sit up

@VdykCFC Yeah I just don't like his style.I mean it's even slower than Guardiola. It's just constant passing with very little movement just to then randomly speed it up when a small space opens up.The system doesn't do much to open up those spaces btw, just depends on opps making mistakes

If this guy joins the club, we’re doomed. Does no one remember the massive XaviOUT campaign that was run against him? His UCL record was horrendous, they dropped to the Europa League 2 years in a row. This guy did nothing special at Barcelona, 0% chance he advanced Chelsea
Max@MaxFSport

Xavi is looking for a long term project and wants to manage in the Premier League. Xavi has been analysing teams and reflecting on his past during a break from Football. Some whispers he has been a name discussed internally at Chelsea. #CFC

I think this Villa game has showed that there needs to be some sort of points deduction for anti competitive lineups etc Coz it’s not fair on West Ham who had to play a full strength Villa and thus lost whilst Spurs get to play a Villa team that wouldn’t look out of place in the championship

@pesstar4 @BouafifNour Yeah you are right but it’s always dangerous to see a player play in a certain system and assume that’s all they’re good for. Sometimes they’re just executing what their current manager is asking for.

I don’t really hate João Pedro as an option. He’s a quality player overall, and I’ve liked him since his time at Brighton. Technically, he’s excellent, creative, intelligent, and clinical. The main issue, similar to what I said about Álvarez, is that he’s not really a target man who provides strong box presence. He’s not a natural poacher and doesn’t consistently get himself into a high volume of goal-scoring positions, and I think that profile is more suited to Flick’s system. That said, like with Álvarez, his overall quality might be good enough to justify adapting the system a bit, especially considering how dry the striker market is right now. I’d still be happy if we end up with him, he’s a solid alternative. Although i honestly have no idea about the cost and or how realistic the deal actually is.

@frigateslaut @saga__r True but not every game is going to end in 2 hours + the way it's going teams are slowly going to start with maybe 2 pacers who they can make use of in the powerplay and death overs. The sport needs to have balance.

@saga__r I like it, I was extremely disappointed by 75 run game in which I was sitting at home. Now imagine if I had bought a ticket in black for me & my family travelled 2 hours before match to reach my seat & then match concluded within 2 hours!? How would I feel? Disappointed obviously

Muthiah Muralidaran says, "If we give fair wickets in IPL, the spectators will say it's become boring because the T20 followers want entertainment, so they want to see the fours and sixes," I am not sure who is liking those 200+ scorecard every match. I would like to see a good balance in pitches for bat and ball.

@sheckitoutwes @ConnorHolden00 I'd rather play a back 3 than have Nagelsmann at the club. Nice entertaining football but his rest defense will be exploited. Xabi can play a back 4 here and he did it at Madrid too and who even cares what he uses as long as we win.

@pesstar4 @ConnorHolden00 Bruh he played back 3 for 3 years he’s not going to use us to perfect a back 4 against prem teams that usually summon demonic tactic each time against Chelsea, is he a better back 4 manager than maresca? Id go for farioli but then again even where’s Julian ?

@IhejirikaS48939 @lolthememer And you say 40 million at best for him but he's the kind of player who improves players around him as well. Yamal and Raphinha would love him. Combines well, good control, good decisions and knows how to use his abilities properly.

This club will never get it right. Never!! Because the worst part of it is, Chelsea signed him for £55M and will only sell for anything above £70M. So if you have £70M to spend on a striker, “Joao Pedro” is the name that you’re going to get? I can’t really explain the decisions being made at this club.
