I don’t want to paint @sama as an idealist - he also said that we will also always seek out new problems to solve, and I think this is very true.

For background - I’ve been spending a lot of time over the past year working on what the future of AI could look like, and some days the potential for it to solve some of our greatest problems is immense, while on others, the potential for harm is also terrifying.

Really lucky to see @sama speak tonight. This quote is the one that’s sticking with me. I’ve been spending the last year working on AI futures, and this is the exciting part of what may open up.
