Parishes don’t have morning Masses on Holy Thursday. Only the Chrism Mass and the Mass of the Lord’s Supper are celebrated today. At the Chrism Mass, priests gather around their bishop and renew their ordination promises, and the bishop blesses the oils used by priests throughout the year. These oils are Chrism, the Oil of the Sick, and the Oil of Catechumens. Chrism is used when people are baptized and confirmed. It is also used when priests and bishops are ordained, or when kings are anointed. The Oil of Catechumens is used in the process of baptism to exorcise the candidate of every evil influence. The Oil of the Sick is used to anoint the sick who are in full communion with the Church. Not every sick person is anointed; it is usually someone who is already a communicant. The other Mass celebrated today is the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, where the washing of the feet takes place and the establishment of the Holy Eucharist is commemorated. Most Catholics will undertake at least an hour of adoration tonight, although the Blessed Sacrament may not be exposed in the monstrance.

People are often surprised to learn that Victor Ekwueme is a software developer. Not because of his work, but because he’s blind. We spoke to him recently, and he walked us through the reactions he gets as a blind developer, the skepticism, the questions, and why many people still don’t realise that assistive technology makes coding accessible for him. He also teaches data analytics to young people with visual impairments, helping them build careers in tech. Watch Victor’s documentary at the link below to see how he is helping the blind see through tech Watch Victor’s documentary to see how he is helping the blind see through tech: youtube.com/watch?v=udRAKR… #techcabal #mylifeintech

I have never earned Elon's money. I sincerely don't even know how it is paid out. I got the blue tick because I didn't want to be constrained if I had something long to write, as I like to write. I was unhappy when, for nearly a year, I could not renew my subscription because of a technical glitch. But I am happy now that Nigerian cards are recognized internationally. Meanwhile, I have several short stories and a novel which I would love you to read. I wrote them years before AI came on stream. Very interesting stories, according to feedback. Let me know if you might want a soft copy.😊

Dear Catholics, while praying for long life, also pray for a happy death. We have an intercessor for that, glorious St. Joseph who was believed to have died happily in the arms of Jesus and Mary. St. Joseph, pray for us 🙏🏽

IN MEMORY OF SAINT PATRICK; Here is his breastplate for protection (Extremely powerful) I bind to myself this day, the strong virtue of the invocation of the Most Holy Trinity, the faith of the Most Holy Trinity in Unity, the Creator of the elements.
I bind to myself this day,
the power of the Incarnation of Christ and His Baptism,
the power of His Crucifixion with His Burial,
the power of His Coming to the sentence of the judgment. I bind to myself this day,
the power in the love of Seraphim,
in the obedience of Angels,
in the hope of resurrection unto reward,
in the prayers of the Patriarchs,
in the predictions of Prophets,
in the faith of Confessors,
in the purity of Virgins,
in the deeds of Holy Men and Women. I bind to myself this day,
the power of God to guide me,
the might of God to uphold me,
the wisdom of God to teach me,
the eye of God to watch over me,
the ear of God to hear me,
the word of God to give me speech,
the hand of God to protect me,
the way of God to lie before me,
the shield of God to shelter me,
the host of God to defend me,
against the snares of demons,
against the temptations of vices,
against the lusts of nature,
against every man that meditates injury to me,
whether far or near alone or with many. I have invoked all these virtues,
against every hostile, savage power,
warring upon my body and soul,
against the enchantments of false prophets,
against the false laws of heresy,
against the deceits of idolatry,
against the spells of women, magicians and druids,
against all knowledge which binds the soul of man. Christ protect me this day
against poison, against burning,
against drowning, against wounding,
that I may receive abundant reward.
Christ be with me, Christ before me,
Christ be after me, Christ within me,
Christ below me, Christ above me,
Christ at my right hand, Christ at my left,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks to me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me. I bind to myself this day
the strong faith of the invocation of the Most Holy Trinity,
the faith of the Most Holy Trinity in Unity,
the Creator of the elements,
salvation is the Lord’s,
salvation is from Christ,
Thy salvation, O Lord, be with us for ever.
Amen. #Catholic #catholictwitter #StPatrickday #CatholicX

One of the most beautiful things about the Catholic Church is the saints. These are ordinary people who lived extraordinary faith. Some were kings. Some were peasants. Some were sinners who completely changed their lives. Saints like: 🌹Saint Augustine 🌹Saint Francis of Assisi 🌹Saint Teresa of Calcutta They remind us of something powerful. Holiness is possible for anyone. The Church does not honour saints because they were perfect. It honours them because they allowed God to transform their lives. Their stories prove that no past is too broken for God to redeem. Who is your favourite Catholic saint? Mine is Saint Thérèse of Lisieux. Her doctrine of the “Little Way” teaches that holiness is found not in great deeds but in ordinary acts done with great love. She likened herself to a small flower in God’s garden, offering herself completely to His “merciful love.” This simple path of childlike confidence in God inspired countless believers and reshaped modern spiritual practice. Who is your favorite catholic saint and why? #catholictwitter #CatholicTwitter #CatholicX #CatholicSaints

I stumbled on a Catholic priest on facebook, Rev Fr Kelvin Ugwu. It was as if he was sent to me that year because every single doubt I wrestled with about Christianity in general, he cleared it via his posts. He was actually my first impression of Catholicism.
