@pete_vd @geordinhl Try 38km, increasing each minute. Expected to increase to 76km. Take your negative comments elsewhere.

The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon was cancelled this morning due to high winds at the race start and along the route. I’m disappointed of course, and gutted for the runners who have prepared so well. But I’m grateful to the event organisers and authorities for taking a decision with runners’ safety in mind, after heavy winds blew down some race infrastructure. The City is committed to hosting events of the highest global standards, and that includes sometimes managing difficult calls like this one.
English

@pete_vd @geordinhl 70km/h in Woodstock. So no, it was not the same everywhere on the route.
English

@pete_vd @geordinhl You are an idiot. What do you know about wind???? The strength changes with wind and if gusts are from 50 to 70 then safety is primary.
English

@andilemasiza25 @geordinhl *25kmh wind is not enough to cancel a marathon

@pete_vd @geordinhl Wind is not enough to cancel the marathon? Is this how you think everyday?

@Petethedes @geordinhl Yesterday was yesterday. Today is today.
Don't build structures that can't withstand CT winds
English

@pete_vd @geordinhl I was in Cape Town city yesterday close to where the race start. To be honest the wind speeds were way higher than 25 km/h.
English

@mzansibranding1 @geordinhl If you re-read the tweet. I am asking why structures are built that cannot withstand wind? That is my question.
English

@mzansibranding1 @geordinhl Yes I live near Chappies and what's the question. The route doesn't go up Chappies and there is no wind right now
English

@shortmsger In case nobody has told you yet, you're a clown and you don't understand how the stock market works 🤡
English

@felipeguirao @Reformed_Trader Is this account satire? Buy low sell high
English

@Reformed_Trader I remember trading $ASTS June last year, but right now is stuck in a big, sideways, volatile range.
Until it pops up from there, I'm not looking at it
English

@CatSE___ApeX___ Great thread @CatSE___ApeX___
The market is ripe in Africa for D2D offerings in whatever form or speed and MTN is a monster partner - glad to see players latching on quickly
English

@shortmsger @newsomegruesom @Only6inches Strange that the only thing on your mind all day all night is ASTS. You should find a hobby or something? Golf is a great way to relax and calm yourself
English

@pete_vd @newsomegruesom @Only6inches Lol! Perfect response from a weenie who can't handle a real response.
I am retired so have no day job.
My ID, "shortmsger", was created about 10 years ago and reflects the length of a tweet at the time - a short message.
I have never had ANY position - long, short, ... (1/n)
English

@newsomegruesom @Only6inches Oh! You think the location where the satellite reception means something important?
What a stupid thought.
I guess we can ignore all those $ASTS Fan Boys who are saying AST satellites will fill in the gaps between buildings in cities.
English

$ASTS Oh stupid bulls, many of you are expecting this trash will be more than $100 or even $200 in the future, but this trash may never going back to $30 and all the way going to single digit. This chance is not small, or even bigger than what you guys are dreaming. 🤭🤭
ATH CDU@ATHFGJ
$ASTS From +6% to -3%, close my put options. Easy money. Wake me up when this shit touches $30 again. I will short this trash again when stupid bulls say “ThIS tiMe iS diFfeReNT.” 🤣
English

Was starting to do some research on my watchlist, starting with $ASTS. Didn't spend long & I'm just spitballing here. So come fight me.
What's the real bull thesis? I get the excitement and newness around the project. Seems to me like people are frustrated for not being able to invest in Starlink, so they find the most alike stock.
So what about Starlink? They already have a product & a business. They already have satellites. They already have clients & revenues.
Doesn't Starlink have a huge, huge, terribly huge first-mover advantage?
Is $ASTS's advantage only that they intend to pass the connectivity through partners instead of the need for end users to have their physical antenna? Because I understand that, but why can't Starlink propose this? And is it really better?
Because you'd end up limited exactly as we actually are with our actual infrastructures, those wouldn't change. Kind of lose the advantage of satellite connections...

@MktMavPro @dan_tmt @REdebtlawyer @TMFAssociates Mav Dog - where did I say the TAM is = to the world's population? It's not. I simply said that just because some guy in America doesn't see the need for it doesn't mean that the need it doesn't exist
English

The TAM is not the world’s population. If you want to insult someone’s education, at least understand the data. The fact is, the market share for $ASTS is eroding. I still find it funny we are talking about “if the tech works like it does” at this point in the timeline and at this valuation. 😂
English

@MktMavPro @dan_tmt @REdebtlawyer @TMFAssociates Yes and what is your point ? I am saying the TAM is worldwide not constricted to one American living in the city. If the tech works as everyone says it does, the TAM is there
English

@pete_vd @dan_tmt @REdebtlawyer @TMFAssociates You realize that’s a whole different set of regulations you’ll need to address region by region?
English

Africa 🌍 & Southeast Asia will be @AST_SpaceMobile's largest opportunity. Why?
✅ 600M+ people lack reliable internet
✅ Explosive mobile-first economies
✅ Untapped demand for affordable broadband
$ASTS’s satellite tech can bridge the digital divide @thekookreport $asts
English

@dan_tmt @REdebtlawyer @TMFAssociates You realise there is a whole world outside of the USA? I know you don't get taught it at school. But there are 7.5bn other people on the planet
English

@REdebtlawyer @TMFAssociates I mean I don't need it at all. I'm always connected to terrestrial. But sure, some users may want that.
