Love daggy and also quality 60-70s music. The science of sport is interesting but the art of sport is what captivates.

@BBFFCAFC Yep. Most ex-players are the same. They think their playing days hold them in good stead so they don’t need to work at their commentary. They’re also the worst at understanding the rules of the game.

How does Riewoldt get a gig? Brisbane started last year 5-0, but reckons we haven’t started good the past few years. He’s a casual, doesn’t do any research and speaks in hyperbole.

@EndBegin1111 And you think that’s why the club is rooted now? Bit of a stretch.

End is the beginning of the beginning of the end
@peteguley His last game as coach before Essendon appointed him was as VFL coach in an elimination final. Bendigo lead by 59 points mid way through the 3rd only to lose by 37. Forced out Lloyd, Lucas and Johnson before their time He was Cancer

If you had to name one person who turned Essendon into such a rubbish club, who would it be? #AFLDonsNorth

The Clash Jumper Doctor 🍺👨‍💼🇦🇺
Jumper rating of 0.5/10 for #aflsaintslions. 😡 This is a debacle. Black v dark maroon is a diabolical clash. The white shorts also clash with saints’ white strip. How does this keep happening? And why did Lions choose THIS fixture to wear such a dark kit?

A few months ago I warned a mate about using @BetDeluxeAU and @BetNationau (same owners). He is now finding similar unethical behaviour as I did. They’re thieves. I’ve tagged these cvnts in this post. Come sue me if I’m wrong. You won’t.

@EndBegin1111 I wouldn’t have thought he’d have that much influence on the culture. But he was always the post-Sheedy scapegoat that all Bomber fans hated. And he had success at lower levels wherever he went. Anyway …

@AFLChristians @Thomo_Grant That had nothing to do with handballing into the feet of opponents. In fact it was an umpiring error. If that’s your measure, I really doubt you got two goals from this strategy. In fact I doubted it through this convo TBH. What club is this BTW? You must be proud to name them.

@AFLChristians @Thomo_Grant Wow! Makes you wonder why the professionals aren’t doing it. You got two goals today and yet I’ve not seen one goal in three rounds of AFL.🙂

@peteguley @Thomo_Grant 3 free kicks and 2 goals from it today in a practice match because the umpire’s believe they are emulating AFL standards. Literally spent 15 minutes on it across five sessions, but it’s front of mind and I’m only operating within the rules.

@staggy33 @Thomo_Grant Sounds like you’re not totally sure so you’re introducing intent. I think the rule is fine as it stands.

@staggy33 @Thomo_Grant So the controversial Atkins lasso free kick on Thursday - was that a blatant soccer or not? Would you penalise it? The ump would need to adjudicate on the intent. You’re saying that you want to remove intent but you’ve just introduced intent in the same comment.

@peteguley @Thomo_Grant Remove the intent. Has to be a definitive possession for it to be last disposal. Definitely penalise a blatant soccer though.

@peteguley @hasumpstuffedup *Sole intent. From front on, this typically means that player must get ball first, but something like Jack Riewoldt’s reverse speccy gets a pass as well. It’s sort of linked to kick trajectory; the higher it is, the more you can get away with.

@hasumpstuffedup IMO this is great umpiring but you don’t like it. Front-on contact should never be paid, and the rules agree, if players have intent on the footy. The written rule is on my side. #AFLPiesGiants

Has the umpire made A Bad decision?
@peteguley They both arrived at the ball at the same time, for it to be front on contact one has to be clearly at the drop of the ball first. I agree that was a good non call
