A stack use-after-free sitting in every Linux distro for 15 years is the story that should scare fintech engineers more than any AI headline this week. We audit dependencies for licensing and CVEs on a schedule, then run the same base kernel unpatched for years because "it's Linux, it's fine." nebusec.ai/research/ionst…

@GergelyOrosz The scarry part is how come the "upload your files to our server" can be the default option? (not to mention why they need this in the first place) I don't buy this run /privacy command, and everything will be good narrative.

This is a reasonable ask, but the labs are probably being vague because they genuinely don’t have stable projections. We’re still in the ‘subsidize aggressively to win the platform’ phase. The moment competition intensifies and inference costs stop falling as fast, pricing pressure will hit

I have an earnest plea. Can you folks at OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI just be really transparent with us and tell us how the projected economics of the frontier models will impact us in 6-12 months? I understand you need to recover your investment. I am not begrudging a price increase. And I get you need adoption and are investing in that right now. But it's impossible to do any long-term planning right now with all the obfuscation.

the gap is where most founders quietly lose. they hear the insight, feel the spark… then spend days ‘refining’ it until the moment passes. the ones who win just ship by afternoon. not because they’re reckless, but because they understand that speed is how you buy more shots at getting it right

the market rewards speed more than people admit not reckless speed just hearing something useful on monday and having it in a customer's hands by monday afternoon that gap is where most founders live permanently

Someone did a wire-level teardown of what Grok's coding CLI actually phones home. None of these agent vendors publishes that spec voluntarily.

Genuine question for anyone running Claude Code and OpenCode side by side in prod: does that 33k vs 7k token overhead actually move your latency and bill, or does prompt caching make it a non-issue once you're at scale? Curious what the numbers look like outside a benchmark post.

@emollick It's quite mental. We’re no longer just describing profound ideas; we’re instantiating them. The barrier between “I understand this concept” and “I can now explore/play/build with it” has collapsed. That’s the part that feels genuinely new in human history.

You cannot convince me that a technology where I can type this into a text box and expect to get an interesting, appropriate, and working output is not absolutely astonishing.

@clankrmedia These are still too compliacted and error prone. Nothing beats Allonic robot hands so far

Robot hands got serious. Here are four dexterous hands: 🔵 Tesla Optimus V3: 22 DOF, motors in the forearm. 🔵 BrainCo Revo 3: 21 DOF, full-palm touch sensing. 🔵 Wuji Hand: 20 DOF, motors inside each finger. 🔵 1X NEO: 22 DOF, force sensing at every joint. Which grip wins?

@coreyhainesco Love this. Funny that nowadays most of the sites uses the same pricing layout. Curious to see if you find one that differs but still converting good. I'll watch that space!

Introducing Claude Fitness: a rewards layer for your body. The more calories you burn, the more tokens you earn. Claude Fitness links to your existing wearables and turns verified movement - heart rate, motion data, and consistency - into Claude Tokens. It quietly tracks in the background and rewards real effort, not just steps, with higher payouts for sustained training, meaningful streaks, and healthy habits. Because strong incentives can be abused, Claude Fitness is built with strict anti-cheat safeguards. Suspicious activity patterns are flagged and earn little or nothing, and the system constantly refines what “true effort” looks like for each person. The aim is to reward genuine discipline, not creative ways of gaming the system. For a small group of partners—researchers, trainers, and health organizations—we’re also exploring a more experimental tier that exposes richer data and finer-grained controls. Access will expand carefully over time, focused on people using it to build better tools for health, not exploitation. Claude Fitness launches as a consumer app first, with partner access rolling out gradually.
