NYC observations after spending last week there • people are actually outside touching grass (or cement 😅) • very few AI ads or billboards around • even cafes i went to - very few screens with claude code or cursor or some coding tool • people are way more open to socializing. everyone is willing to strike up a conversation (not about AI agents) • the energy is electric - everyone’s moving with purpose. • found a way to talk to folks without mentioning AI • way more artists, and non traditional creators. Met an actual physical product designer which was cool. it’s genuinely refreshing to remember there’s a whole world outside the feed been traveling the last few days and the SF tech bubble makes it easy to forget how alive real cities feel. sorry SF, you’re still home… but perspective is healthy 🤷‍♂️

17 Arrested in Major North Philly Drug Ring Bust, AG Announces PHILADELPHIA — A large-scale drug trafficking organization that operated for years in North Philadelphia has been dismantled, officials announced Wednesday. Attorney General Dave Sunday, alongside multiple federal and local agencies, confirmed that 17 members of the organization — including alleged leader Louis Alexander, 56 — have been arrested and charged. Authorities say the group was responsible for distributing large quantities of cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, and other drugs, while also using firearms to protect their operation. During coordinated raids across 30 locations, investigators seized: •27 firearms •Over 4 pounds of cocaine •130 pounds of marijuana •Fentanyl, crack cocaine, Ecstasy, and cash proceeds Officials say the investigation spanned multiple jurisdictions, including Philadelphia, Delaware County, and New Jersey. Alexander is currently being held on $750,000 bail, while other defendants face a range of charges including: •Corrupt organizations •Possession with intent to deliver •Illegal possession of firearms Law enforcement says the investigation is ongoing, particularly regarding the group’s potential involvement in violent crimes. ⸻ ⚖️ All charges are allegations.
