@amix3k This isn’t live yet, right? It would feel more intuitive to be able to scan a paper document for tasks without having to first create a new task and press attachment.

We’re making it much easier to attach files in Todoist, and we’re adding AI to the experience as well. One example is Image Scan, which can analyze an image, such as handwritten notes or a whiteboard, and turn it into actionable tasks. It’s a bit like Ramble, but for images. We’ll have something similar for text, too! Leak time 😄

@domjost @amix3k Like team workspaces? Not necessarily. Areas can be personal or for a team. Things 3 does this well. E.g. I have areas like Admin, Business, Health, Home, Relationships, etc. “Health” isn’t a “project” but rather an ongoing area of responsibility. Does that make sense?

@domjost @amix3k So Todoist’s “projects” are really just lists. I’d prefer: Areas (of responsibility) - are ongoing - contain to-dos - contain projects Projects - are completable - contain to-dos - can have a deadline Then you could add goals, but they’d add less value once areas exist.

@peterakkies @amix3k got it, thanks for clarifying! If you had to choose between tasks or projects, which would you pick, and why?

@domjost @amix3k Ah no, I mean set it up so that you can (optionally) assign a task or a project to a goal. Goals would usually not be empty of course.

Can’t decide which is more exciting: Todoist getting automations (= AI agents?) or support for tracking goals (not just tasks & projects). Either way, I’d better plan to update my Todoist course as soon as this comes out!

I love how @todoist is reducing friction by thoughtfully adding AI-powered features. Plus, as the AI models powering this on the back end inevitably improve, the reliability and accuracy of these features will increase almost automatically too.

@amix3k Yes! Very nice. This enables so many workflows. For example, I connected Claude to Granola as well. “Hey Claude, take the action items from my Granola meeting summaries and put them in Todoist.”

@peterakkies You can already connect with Claude via our MCP server 👍😊 #tag/Todoist-MCP" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">developer.todoist.com/api/v1/#tag/To… Also, AFAIK, we are working on a ChatGPT app.

The team is doing fantastic work improving the activity log in Todoist. Soon you'll not only see what you need to do, but also what you (or others) have done. I am also trying to push to make this data easily exporable, so you can feed it into an LLM (or share it with others). It'll be great 👌

@alsoknownaskaz @amix3k Thanks for sharing Kaz. Looks promising. Although I’d love a simpler integration like Todoist being listed in Claude’s “connector” library, for example. Most people in my audience are non-techies and having to go to “integration” settings in an app is advanced enough already.

Urgent Reminders is rolling out to all users as a preview in iOS version 26.1.17. This feature makes Todoist reminders 1000x more useful by turning them into iOS alarms that actually demand your attention. 🎩-tip to .@enricenrich & .@alexmuench

There’s been a ton going on with @todoist lately. New features, design refinements, more new features… So I decided it was time for a new beginner’s tutorial. youtu.be/qMWYahYKvCs (Still waiting to see those AI agents in Todoist, though, @amix3k… 😁)

@amix3k First, stop teasing us with those Automations in the sidebar. 😉 Second, when can I try this? 😁 As soon as I clicked the video I was like hey, this would be awesome with meeting notes. And I use Granola too. I think people are going to love this workflow.

If you have more than one domain pointing to the same Laravel application, you can easily configure your routes to only respond to specific domains. In today's video, I walk through how to do it. masteringlaravel.io/daily/2025-11-…
