A Japanese manga artist lost his entire Google account forever after he uploaded private files from an old comic he drew to Google Drive. Google’s AI checked the files and flagged them as not allowed. He asked Google to review it again, but they rejected his appeal and banned the account immediately. He can no longer access years of his private drawings and lost access to many websites and services that used his Google login. The artist said this is very embarrassing and causes him a lot of trouble. He warned that it might not happen to people who always follow every rule, but others should be careful. So Google is scanning files that people upload to its cloud storage even if they are supposed to be private. I wonder how long they have been doing this.

@falostesso The hero wouldn't be bland because Warhorse has good writers. My point is you don't need to set a game in Middle-earth if you don't fight all sorts of creatures and visit iconic locations.

Warhorse is one of 3 studios I'd trust to make a Middle-earth RPG, but I hope they don't make it like KCD. I don't want to be a lowly guard or peasant; I want to be a hero accomplishing great deeds. I'm interested to see where this goes. Clearly a hiring ad and still years away.

This is nuts. Gary Newman, creator of Rust and Gary's Mod, just got banned from Facepunch. The forums that discuss his games booted him because he refused to condemn and disavow his coworkers and friends over anti-immigration sentiment. Moderators and forum users pressured him to publicaly condemn or distance himself from these views. He refused. Multiple moderators pounced, banning him in quick succession (a wall of bans pile on). Note that Facepunch forums was started by many of the former mods who worked for him. Ironic that Gary closed the original forums because of politics, in part. Now politics has come for him.
