Let's see: US and Israeli warplanes range freely over Iran, having hit thousands of targets, and are hitting more every day. The Iranian leadership has been taken out. Its new leader cannot or will not show his face. Its air defenses have been ineffective, destroyed or both. Its navy is largely gone. So It has now effectively blocked ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a waterway vital to its own economy. US media would have you believe Iran has turned the tide in the war because blocking the strait never occurred to US war planners. You can choose to believe this. I don't.

My personal belief is that the President, his team, and the Israelis know far better than the press what is going on, and the press is so relentlessly, ruthlessly hostile to the Trump Administration that they're more likely to believe Iranian propaganda than that this is actually going well.
As I noted yesterday, the ordinance dropped is on pace to mirror Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom with a combined strike of about 1000 targets a day from the Israelis and Americans. That's pretty consistent.
The fact that the national press is barely even covering Homeland Security being shut down by Democrats in a time of war is just another data point.
If Obama were bombing Syria while the GOP had Homeland Security shut down, the GOP obstruction would be the primary story every day in the press.
But because it is Trump, the press is elevating the doubters, the haters, and the propagandists.
The press has a real bias in this.

One headline after another essentially featuring Iranian propaganda as the news.
Where are the headlines:
50 Iranian ships sunk
Iranian military assets destroyed
Leadership tries to put on good showing despite internal chaos
Khomeini appointment creates hereditary theocracy
War plan progress unprecedented
The press is a drumbeat of negativity favoring the Iran regime. It’s puzzling at this point how any success is buried.
The reality is likely the regime is being pummeled on all sides and has no ability to provide for its people. Maybe it can put on a good show for another week or two but its leadership is under immense pressure. But that’s not what the American public is getting from mainstream media.
