One of the best tests of an AI is the "Clock Test" prompt I developed. Below are results from Grok (left) and from ChatGPT (right). Can your AI do better? Prompt: "Draw a math clock. It looks like a traditional clock with hands; however, instead of 12 numbers on the clock face, there are mathematical expressions in place of the numbers. Each expression corresponds to the number it represents."

A sample of Newton's handwriting where he predicts that the year 2060 will be the start of something profound. Not exactly the End of the World, but rather the dawn of a new era. Prophetic math from the master of motion! (National Library of Israel)

@Rogerinhawaii @pickover Bellard's formula is 43% faster than Bailey–Borwein–Plouffe's, but it's based on the same principles. Gemini says that the farthest known position of pi is hex A (10 in decimal). The confirmed 16-character sequence is: A937EB59439E485E... And that it's exactly at position 10^17.

Please clarify. It says it can compute the nth digit, but the equation never references n. It DOES reference k. And k is part of the summation figure, indicating that the equation is the SUM of the rest of the values for all k between 0 and INFINITY. Which means that, even if it does somehow calculate the nth digit, it will run forever and never actually attain the value of that nth digit. I really need some explanation of how this equation is supposed to work to calculate a particular digit.

@pickover Yesterday, the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona reached its zenith. It has reached its highest point. It is now the tallest Catholic cathedral in the world and the tallest building in the city.

Physics, Math, Ghosts of Reality. "Researchers have observed the most massive objects ever to enter a superposition, a quantum state in which the objects can potentially exist in multiple locations at the same time." What does the future hold?

@petoro @pickover No, the pattern doesn't repeat in the video or in an extended simulation. The spherical ripple keeps reflecting elastically off the cube's walls, creating increasingly complex, fractal-like structures that fill the space without cycling back.

I learned a new English "tense" at Wikipedia today. "The prophetic perfect tense is a literary technique used in the Bible that describes future events that are so certain to happen that they are referred to in the past tense as if they had already happened." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prophetic…

It just seems implausible this is what we are made of, essentially, nanotechnology about a billion years beyond anything we can design or make ourselves.
