Like the smell after the rain - I'm a mix of many things. Made of chaos, art, holo and a sprinkle of memento mori. She/her. Skål!

@interesting_aIl Almost like an entire society constantly diminishing the "arts" get less good art because no one goes into the field anymore

@dumbtwt_ Men rape actual lizards. They don't gaf if you're hot. Sexual harassment can happen to anyone and any gender too
English

@ighaworth Not just tech. This trend is even hitting small companies in the Midwest. I've seen it first hand also. I watched two separate companies savagely exploit so many immigrants. I try to help them but they are so afraid of retaliation they accept the conditions to stay
English

@jubunnies I wonder this too. I hear about body doubling and how it makes people productive but it never makes me productive
English

@missj75 @k170man @WallStreetApes Women are disabled and killed at much higher rates per incident in crashes involving vehicles because their anatomy is different than "small men" they previously used. Is it really a party difference to try and improve that??

This American has Stage 4 cancer and there is no cure
She has insurance but she just received a letter from her health insurance that they are not covering her treatment
“One chemo session costs $15,000”
“My doctor confirmed that I got approval from my insurance company before I started the chemo. I've been on it for a few months now — The insurance company suddenly decided that they're not going to cover the treatments anymore”
She has to get this $15,000 treatment “once every 3 weeks”
“Honestly, this letter feels like a threat. It feels like my life is being threatened and saying, we will not pay for your life-saving treatment feels like a threat on my life.”
We need to share these stories because one day this could be any of us
We need SERIOUS reform of our healthcare industry in America
English

@mushycrouton Living on the hope that this next strategy will solve everything. Is it a planner!? Great! An app!? Cool! A new work out routine?! That's just what I need. One day, we'll be right. We believe it every time
English

@theastroprint I think it needs to specified probably *white man*
English

@Tori_TLCR Because the road to that "level of success" is paved with jobs that have people forced to kiss the ground they walk upon. Office politics in their early career makes them think we actually like them
English

@Nicole_Lee_Sch I fully support the idea that MAID has massive and disgusting faults, especially in the ableist society we live in. But why isn't the goal to reform it? Both extremes can be bad. There are cases where someone may want it unprovoked by a Dr's advice or any of that manipulation
English

@elle_carnitine They said torture. They said for years it was living in a coffin before they got to die. I don't think we should force that life on people when they beg for death. Like I said tho, a Dr should never recommend it. That should be malpractice it goes against the hippocratic oath
English

@elle_carnitine As someone who watched several relatives die slow & painful deaths over years & decades, the only time I wished that for them was when they were pleading for Dr. Kevorkian. It shouldn't be so easy, & it shouldn't be offered. Ever. But there is a place. It wasn't kind for them
English

@elle_carnitine If they had been able bodied they could have ended their own lives as they got to their desperation (if they wanted), but their bodies were failing them & they were trapped in a dying body living in "torture". It removed a choice. It's a separate extreme, but both exist
English

@madisontayt_ Thank you. I watched 2 and am slowly watching 1 more family member die slow, painful, infantilizing deaths where they all begged for death. For years even decades for 1. Marie's Ataxia is cruel, and watching them makes it hard to accept the idea of banning such help
English

@DuckieLouise @hoolie_r That seems like conjecture. Do you have a peer reviewed study, please? I can't seem to find one with my searches
English

@petrichorbean @hoolie_r Everything after omicron was more mild. Also viruses that mutate always mutate to become more mild bc killing the host isn’t a good strategy from an evolutionary standpoint.
English

@bethanypeabody @hoolie_r You know it's interesting, based on your take, both sides could be *trying* to help. One side is saying for your health just wear a mask and the other side is insulting the otherside with no advice to "cure" them of their fear.
English

@hoolie_r Except that masks don't stop transmission and you're insanely scared of something that it typically mild, and when it's not, it's due to other health issues or lack of proper treatment. It's insane people still live in fear like you do.
English

@DuckieLouise @hoolie_r Can you provide evidence of the mutations getting more mild please? I would love to see where you got this info from!
English

You sound like a sweet and concerned friend, and you still have to let her live her life.
The new variants have long since mutated out of the egregious impacts of the first couple of forms of C19. If I were pregnant rn, I would absolutely not be restricting my airway with a mask as lessening oxygen to the placenta is detrimental to growing womb-babies.
English

@WrongsToWrite People are gonna study it in about 10 years or so for it's great benefits. It's been found to help reduce Long Covid Symptoms, too. The negative association to smoking is hard to navigate tho for now for many
English

@sketching204 No better time to switch to being a DP girlie and dethrone Coke from the top soda spot 🤷🏻♀️
