NEAR Protocol's "treasury operations" are rumored to be buying their own token again to stay ahead of ICP (and keep their DAT investors happy). Probably unsustainable lol. TLDR a lot of projects spend their funds on buying their own token rather than R&D, but R&D will win.

@martocsan_ Until we know if there are real reasons behind the pump (this could be the blockchain for coinbase to go on-chain, for instance), besides obvious technical reasons that I mentioned before, for me it is unclear why now, why so much volume and why against BTC+alts. Exciting though!
