for large entertainment fandoms, making great fan edits is still too hard for most fans. We keep hearing the same thing from brands: we want a fan army creating endless content, but today it’s too much work, across too many disconnected tools. so we started building fan edit tools into Wide Worlds. not just another clipper, yall!! a creative experience that’s actually fun to use, because it's integrated with the rest of our creation tools, so fans can combine their own personalized content with official brand media to create entirely new remixes.

You have to find clips, download footage, cut videos, and assemble the edit. Basically the job of a digital archivist. We’re making it easy for every fan to create endless edits. Influencer marketing is starting to feel like cable TV. The prices keep going up, the performance is not getting better, and everyone is getting a little bored. Fan creation is the next channel to tune into. Global creator and influencer marketing spend is about $30–35B a year, and entertainment is one of the big spenders inside that at $9B+ annually. But there's issues: CPMs keep rising, coordination is a pain, and big follower counts don’t get the reach they used to, so brands have been moving downstream. By 2025, 73% of brands say they prefer micro and mid-tier creators because the engagement-to-cost ratio is stronger and the content feels more authentic. That trend will keep going until it hits the largest creator pool on earth, which is fans. When brands give fans the tools, set incentives for sharing, reward what performs, and keep them consistently engaged, they get a new marketing channel that feels like play for fans while driving real marketing outcomes. The fans are ready. The brands are starting to catch up!

We anticipate that ~12 months from now, world models will power realtime, social creation by fans within the worlds of their favorite IP. Embracing interactive fan experiences is existential for modern franchises, as younger generations spend less time watching TV and more time in gameworlds like Roblox. This shift will catalyze new experiential and commercial models for artists and IP holders both big and small. Buckle up for the progress in this space.
