Exactly 4 years ago this week, I visited Market Street Bookshop in Mashpee, Massachusetts to buy my own copy of MIDDLE SCHOOL MATTERS. Last night, I went back to the same store to see MIDDLE SCHOOL SUPERPOWERS on the shelf. (And in the spirit of tradition, I bought one of each!)

Okay, now I feel like I’ve marked the moment! I just took a field trip with my family to the independent Market Street Bookshop in Mashpee, Ma. to see “Middle School Matters” on the shelf & buy my own copy 😀.

@FearlessSchools @mccartyann @Pfagell That idea of reframing situations is powerful in schools. A small shift in perspective can completely change how students see themselves and what they believe they can do. Do you think mindset shifts happen more through daily teacher interactions or through big breakthrough moments?

@DrMaryAlvord @El_GioRamos @mccabe_phd Looks perfect, enjoy! I'm replying to you from a plane above the Rockies flying back from ACDS in Aspen via Denver - the lucky students there get to sled during recess and traipse through woods at school! I hope to catch up with you soon - it's been way too long!

What makes this puberty so difficult for many students is not the change itself, but the sense of isolation that can come with it. Caregivers & educators can help students feel accompanied & validated through the journey. 🎧Catch our latest podcast & summary article featuring Chris Balme! amle.org/puberty-as-the…
