Interesting take and very informative

Brief summary of how club deals work: First, I tell my agent which companies I’m interested in. My agent will reach out to all the potential companies (and prob a couple more in case there is a company that really wants to sign me) and see what kind of deals they’re willing to offer. Some companies prob show interest while others say no right away haha. Drivers and woods are a must with a 10-12 club requirement deal. In the past, you used to be able to do a mix and match deal with a deal for just the woods with one company and irons wedges with a different company. But these days, companies are really pushing to do full bag (13 including Driver) and the ball. If my agent brings a deal from a company that I hadn’t used their clubs in the past and their deal is intriguing enough, I’ll either be sent clubs with my specs or go to their fitting site and do a full club fitting. At that point, it’s up to you to test and see what you want to do. You’ll make your decision, and tell your agent. Then it’s up to the agent to negotiate the best deal possible, most likely anywhere from 1-3 years. Because you need to earn your card each yr on tour, in general, there are no long term deals (unless you’re a big name guy). Often times it’ll be a smaller up front but a bigger bonus if you get within the top 70 or 50 fedex (performance based). The most expensive logo for us is the front of the hat for. You can do deals without the hat logo and just the clubs like some, but the number goes way down. Companies have also been way more selective of the players they sign. Back in the 2000s, if you had a pgatour card, you were guaranteed a deal. Now you need to be either top 75, or a young guy with potential. That’s why you see many more free agents these days.

Tournament season is just about here. Print this out, put it in your golf bag, and take it to your next NET event. It's the odds of shooting a good tournament score. Slide it across the table when someone has "the round of their life". 😀😀😀

An antiquity from the #Golffice: Pictured is one of the oldest known scorecards from June 3, 1820. This round was played by John Cundell, who wrote one of the oldest books on the rules of golf. The round was played at Leith Links & he shot a “Disgraceful” 81! #GolfHistory

as you can tell, I'm making a shift w/ this account. leaning into the following: -brand building in Web 3 -NFTs as a kickstarter -the golf industry -business topics such as strategy, sales, marketing, & supply chain giving fair warning in case this isn't your cup of tea 🤝
