Modified the fire bending page into a Chemistry lab for fire simulation. Dipping fingers into different metal salt solutions & lighting them up gives different colors. This is d same chemistry involved in fireworks! Rinse in water to remove d coating & turn off d flames...

Controlling fire at fingertips with Vanilla JS, mediapipe & @threejs I loved the drag & drop deployment using @Netlify The fire spreads from one finger tip to another like fire torches. Try it out using the li..

Today, we’re sunsetting JPEG. What started as a simple idea became an incredible learning experience. Over the past months, hundreds of you joined the beta, shared feedback, tested new features, and helped shape the product. While we’re proud of what we built, we’ve decided not to continue operating JPEG in its current form/ product. Building consumer products is never a straight line. Sometimes the right decision is not to push forward, but to step back and take the lessons learned into whatever comes next. To everyone who supported us, tested the app, and believed in the vision: thank you. We couldn’t have done it without you. The app will be winding down, effective immediately. We will be pivoting and exploring new form factors/ products. ❤️

anyone over the age of 40 or has made money by labour arbitrage should automatically be disqualified from influencing AI policy in India if you have not spent >5% of your revenue for R&D in any organisation that you’ve headed once again you are disqualified
Mohandas Pai@TVMohandasPai

PM @narendramodi Sir we need an India AI Mission under you with @NandanNilekani as vice chair and others from the private sector and govt. to Help India tackle the AI Revolution. We are way behind and need a national mission to get going quickly. Existing govt programs are too slow, way too small to make any large impact. We need an annual 50000 cr fund for deep tech and AI, a 200,000 cr ELGS Guarantee Fund to build Hyper cloud, hardware and chips. @AshwiniVaishnaw @nsitharaman @PiyushGoyal @FinMinIndia @RBI We need a Very Large National Mission. @AmitShah @amitmalviya

The reason why factories don’t pay better than QC could either be the greed of owner or that they simply can’t take losses like VCs can for starting years

QCom stands on VC money as of now. This supports rider payout & pulls youth towards unskilled work who otherwise would have to spend months to get semi skilled But once VC money dries up, del charges would increase or rider get stuck with low payout with no skills learnt or both
Maahir Panchal@maahirpanchal

QCom takes our country's PRIME labour force in their 20s and 30s and puts them in an unproductive space. They spend most of their time delivering D2C items that "founders" had manufactured in Chinese factories using US-backed venture capital. Meanwhile, Indian factories find it tough to get enough labour. Our labour-intensive sectors are DRYING UP. Can you see it? Can you feel it? Or are you going to call me delusional?

Once you step out of India, you’ll realise the general psyche of a citizen here is designed to cope with constant fear, stress and scarcity. Life shouldn’t be as hard as it is currently for the ordinary Indian.

We just published internal data on how much of Claude's development is already being done by Claude: - Over 80% of all code merged into our codebase is now written by Claude - It's been months since many researchers at Anthropic hand-wrote code - The typical Anthropic engineer ships 8x as much code as they did in 2024 - On the most open-ended engineering tasks, Claude's success rate jumped from ~26% to 76% in 6 months - When research sessions went off-track, Claude proposed a better next step than the human took 64% of the time We're not at recursive self-improvement yet, but it could come sooner than most expect. I highly recommend reading the full blog post.
Anthropic@AnthropicAI

Our internal data shows Claude is accelerating AI development—a possible path to recursive self-improvement, or AI autonomously building a more capable successor. It’s happening faster than we thought, and the implications deserve greater attention. anthropic.com/institute/recu…

Forget mainstream tourism, even temple tourism doesn't make sense in India unless you are a VVIP. I have visited many temples and jyotirlingas across India. Barring a few exceptions, most temples don't have a proper queue management, no place to keep your shoes and belongings, long hours in queue, trash around you, everyone trying to sell your something, pandits treating you like dirt - most actually corrupt. And if you are going for peace of mind, you will get that only when you exit the temple.
Sarthak Goswami@sundaysarthak

Tourism in India is dead. Foreigners dont even visit anymore. Goa crowd has shifted to Thailand All whats left is internal migration. Indians going to and from Char dham, Ayodhya, kashi, jyotirling Thats it. Thats all there is

@Appyg99 I had thought these are rules imposed by the countries.. only to find out it’s actually this company. If I take their lounge facility, then they don’t have any problems with the same bags, laptops & phones

I hope they burn this fucking company to the ground. They have the worst dark patterns ever. They won’t let people bring in backpacks (remember, we have to carry 100s of pages of documents) & then turn around and charge $20 to “hold on” to your bag. What a scam

Here are the details: Key Points from the Articles on VFS Global Visa Operations - European Union inspection reports (2020–2025) from 20 member states identified multiple operational lapses at VFS Global visa application centres, particularly in India (New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Jalandhar). - Personal and biometric data were mishandled, including storage on unencrypted CDs, transmission via open email, and failure to destroy records older than the stipulated period, resulting in non-compliance with GDPR data-protection requirements. - Communication regarding optional value-added services (such as premium lounges, courier delivery, and extended hours) was deemed misleading, with fees not clearly presented as non-mandatory and unrelated to visa approval. - Additional irregularities included visa shopping by agents, sale of fake appointments and documents, high no-show rates, and improper retention of passports. - A separate investigative report characterises VFS Global as a “visa empire” that outsources visa processing for 71 governments, deriving significant revenue growth—profits quadrupled from 2017 to 2024—primarily from high-margin optional services (approximately 30 % of total revenue). - Staff sales incentives and aggressive upselling practices have been linked to pressure on applicants, especially from countries with weaker passports, raising concerns about profiteering and the privatisation of border-control functions. - VFS Global has rejected allegations of improper conduct, stating that its operations are subject to rigorous governmental oversight and that remedial measures have been implemented where required.
