@phamuc @rijkhoff No. That is protective film they place over the handles, b-pillars and other parts of the frame when shipping. They are peeled off before customer delivery. The lights also indicate new models. Tesla is DOOMED. Lol.

Back in the 80's, we did it by swapping out the crystal. Overclocked an IBM AT 286 from 6 MHz to 8 MHz. The Intel CPU had the overhead to handle the Overclocking, but the BIOS had to swapped out (i.e. burn EPROMs copies from on old PC AT, because the the newer BIOS would purposely detect the faster clock not stop booting ). Still have the computer, but not have turned it on in the last 20 years.

Back in the 90s, if you wanted to attempt to overclock your CPU, you didn’t just open the BIOS menu, you pulled off the side panel and went straight to the motherboard. Motherboards used tiny plastic jumpers to set things like bus speed and multipliers. One wrong jumper position… and the system wouldn’t even boot. Overclocking used to be an adventure, to say the least.

@alphafox Heathkit H89 - built it myself (Only the power supply and monitor were only parts to be built at the component level and some cable harnesses and mounting HW, the terminal and CPU board came populated)
