@NatashaCL7 Whenever I do that, it feels really good. Hard to do all the time for me though. Working on it.

The post I wrote on the treadmill this morning was about the fear of dying with regret, and that opened up a whole series of thoughts I haven’t been able to shut off.
I usually don’t have time for 2 longer posts in one morning, but the faucet is still running, so here’s one more thought.
For me, regret-proofing your life doesn’t mean pretending you can control everything. You can’t.
It means doing what you can, while you can, with the life you’ve been given.
Yes, that includes taking care of your health. Walking more. Lifting heavy things. Eating in a way that gives you more energy, not less. Protecting your sleep. Paying attention to what makes you stronger, calmer, and clearer.
But the point isn’t to become healthy just for the sake of being healthy.
The point is to be more present for your family. More useful to your friends. More capable of doing meaningful work. More available to the people who need you. More able to participate fully in the life you’ve been given.
And when you mess up, don’t turn it into a character verdict. Treat it as information. Learn from it. Adjust. Get back in the game.
Regret doesn’t usually come from one bad day.
It comes from years of drifting, avoiding, rationalizing, and pretending we have more time than we do.
You may have decades.
You may not.
But either way, today counts.

@NatashaCL7 When I ate cereal I did that. Then kept adding a little cereal at a time to eat it before it got soggy.

@NatashaCL7 Why would people want to give you shit? Weird. You just seem like a nice person to me.

@NatashaCL7 Just enjoy and live life. Field what actually comes at you.

@jerryteixeira The good thing is that if you eat well and are disease free you are driven to do more resistance training I feel.

Red Light and Gut Health Pro Tip (Hint: Open Your Mouth)
You don’t need to shine red light straight onto your gut (almost impossible anyway). Just hit your mouth with red/NIR and the oral-gut axis does the rest....
In the study below (Hakimiha et al., Front Med), you see that red light therapy aimed at YOUR MOUTH...
• Oral PBM (660–904 nm) alters the oral microbiome and creates rapid changes in the gut via the oral-gut axis
• Boosts beneficial bacteria (Akkermansia, Faecalibacterium, Allobaculum) while reducing pathogens
• Lowers systemic inflammation, improves metabolic health and may even protect the brain (Alzheimer’s/Parkinson’s link)
So what do you do based on this study and blue light diet principles?
• 5–10 min oral red/NIR daily (660–850 nm on gums/tongue)
• ZERO blue light after sunset so wear your blue blockers, use black out curtains and red night lights (see my favorites at the link in bio or replies below)
• Daylight only eating window
• Morning natural light or bright light therapy and full body red/NIR session if you cant get outside.
Oral red light therapy PBM is a backdoor to fix your gut microbiome while also improving your oral health and microbiome.
