Reading a medical chart. Same errors repeated over and over again by people relying on copy/paste. Yes it's fast and yes it's easy. But it's lazy, obvious, and it makes for a shitty note. Please stop doing this. I said what I said.

What is this blood test, and please tell me we’re not bleeding every febrile child who attends ED? This just reinforces over reliance on healthcare, when the majority could/should be looked after at home if health education was better.

An innovative 15-minute blood test that distinguishes between bacterial and viral infections is being trialled in three hospitals in England. It cuts the time to diagnose children with illnesses like sepsis, meaning they can be treated more quickly. ℹ️ england.nhs.uk/2025/10/nhs-ho…

it’s a 2 minute radio program, never repeated, broadcast 18 times a week. Bigger audience than Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon … combined. Millions listen, with no need for the information it gives. Just to listen. The BBC Shipping Forecast is 100 years old.

This is compassion. The Holy Father saw the President was vulnerable on the sticks, and hastened towards him to ease his journey. A lovely moment.

(7/10) Your character is best measured by how you treat those under you, rather than those supervising you. We all have encountered people who treat their bosses well but are jerks to their colleagues/trainees. Your true character is reflected by how you treat people that have no power over you. Treat your nurses, RTs, porters, cleaners, students, trainees, pharmacists, admin, and yourself kindly. If we all did this, our hospitals would be an even better place to work!

"No one wants to be in a situation where almost a quarter of our patients can expect to face a 12 hour wait. We know that long waits are unsafe and undignified for our patients – we simply should not tolerate this any longer." RCEM VP for Northern Ireland, Dr Russell McLaughlin responds to the latest performance statistics which show 2024 saw the country’s worst year, quarter and month ever recorded for A&E performance 👇 rcem.ac.uk/worst-ae-data-…

Safety Alert - We’ve received reports of people coming into contact with electricity equipment while trying to help with restoration efforts. This includes cutting trees without realising live power lines are involved. Stay clear and report hazards on 03457 643 643. #StormÉowyn
