Well done @KLM. Departure from Munich➡️ Amsterdam was delayed last night due to snow & we missed the connection ➡️London. Turned phone on as we arrived at Amsterdam and had accommodation vouchers, food & drink vouchers & had already been rebooked for today😄😄😄

We have taken the decision that this weekend’s fixture will not take place following the burial of one of our players, Saburi Adeniji this week. The league were formally notified on 6 February that, due to this tragic loss, we would not be able to fulfil any fixtures over the weekend of the 14th. We did not receive a response to this. A further email was sent on Monday evening, which also remains unanswered. The only direction we have since received has been via mobile contact, stating that the fixture must still be played. This is an incredibly emotional time for everyone connected to the club. Our priority must be the mental wellbeing and emotional welfare of our players & Volunteers. Football, at this moment, comes second. While we have been advised that we have a large number of registered players, the reality is that we are not in a position to raise a side. Grief affects people differently, and it would be wrong to ask individuals to participate under such circumstances. We fully understand there may be consequences for this decision and we will accept any action taken. However, as a club, we will always put people before football and wellbeing before competition. Given the seriousness of the situation and the lack of formal response, we feel this matter now needs to be escalated further.

@KingsParkRFC Looks like the fixture on 14 Feb has been cancelled on the Thurlow Nunn website. Currently the next fixture is 21 Feb

@bushontheradio @bushontheradio had a mate who drilled a hole through a coin and then attached to his wrist with fishing line. The trick was to insert the coin, let it contact the mechanism and then pull it back through the slot. Free drinks if it worked!
