5 May 1964. Granada TV series 7 Up was broadcast for 1st time. It follows the lives of 10 males and 4 females. There have been 9 series with one every 7 years. The last was 63 Up broadcast in 2019. A final 70 Up series will be broadcast in autumn 2026.

I see city, who have, as we've all been reminded recently, THE "poorest working class fanbase in the universe" have denied 50,000 local fans the chance to watch an affordable final.

The crisis here is not pensioners “leeching off the young”, it’s a political class that built a Ponzi‑style NI system, diverted the proceeds for other spending, and now wants to default on the people who kept their side of the bargain. You do not blame the victims of a defective product for believing the brochure; you go after the people who wrote it.

@Cantona_Collars Great story thanks for sharing.I was there remember it well as it raised eyebrows when they announced the attendance. Only 29,281 for OT. Sunny day as I recall and end of season nowt to play for game,no doubt loads of Reds stayed in the pub.(the lads I normally went with did!)

@philgordon28 @OhCheesesChrist I did and I definitely have opted in. I did spot that they said the deadline for opting in or out is 15th May in this email which is different from the 5th June deadline that they give on the booking confirmation email. They have a habit of making things as confusing as possible.

Anyone unable to attend the Nottingham Forest home game, whether it is on 15 or 17 May, now has until 10 May to inform the club and return their ticket without a £10 penalty. The issue, of course, is that the actual date of the match will only be confirmed on the evening of 7 May, once the Aston Villa v Forest UEFA Europa League fixture is completed. That gives supporters just a narrow window to make a decision, despite the uncertainty not being of their making.

There will be some technical limitations on the "why" in some instances, but there is also a lack of care and attention in many. This is what comes from a club being underfunded.
