Teacher of English. Would love to have been a mate of Julius Caesar’s and have had the chance to have been mugged off by Socrates and Milton. That’ll do

Ok detectives. This is 1935. Where in England do we think? Most likely south coast. Also if anyone can read the front cover of what we think is the Daily Mirror the girl is reading 😁

@caitlinmoran Hi. I had a lovely boy recently do a GCSE presentation on Andrew Tate. He talked about how much of a gentleman and positive role model he was. I, at that time, had no idea who he even was. Had I known…

Hello, lovely Twitter-people. Do you work in education, and have experienced male pupils quoting/being influenced by Andrew Tate, or other radical misogynists? I'd love to do a quick interview. You can be anonymous if you like. Tweet me and I'll Dm you. Thank you xxx

Would anyone be interested in joining a discreet little DM group of English teachers who are also private tutors outside of school? For sharing of practice and resources. Either reply with a yes or DM me.

@chrisedwardsuk And suddenly the memory of my uncle’s old Hornby set loses some of its lustre. Thanks for that.

This is my wife’s Swiss Uncle Rolf. Whenever the kids come round, he dresses as a train driver, makes dates tickets and drives the children around his garden on his (actual) train. (Video in next Tweet below - I got to ride it too.)🇨🇭 🚂

@chrisedwardsuk Be honest. Did you have to check the spelling of dear old Norris’ name. I could have sworn it was Macguerter, but no…you were correct. Who knew?

Am I going too far? I get enraged by people using a ‘quote’ rather than a ‘quotation’. Is English getting more relaxed or am I getting more uptight? I also despise pupils writing ‘[Author] uses the quote to…’ Does it make a difference?@Team_English1 @FunkyPedagogy @AQAEnglish
