Figured out a way to disable the default highlighting on selection in @tableau, which can be quite annoying when working with parameter and set actions. Also found out, that there is already a perfect blog post for this by @bmoorewastaken: sonsofhierarchies.com/?p=747 Thanks Brian!

My new project with Balázs Fekete: HITSTORY highlights relations between social phenomena and music history. ANTHEMS reveals when and who created national anthems. We wrote a music piece (meta-anthem) of music works to make data more engaging. Viz: tabsoft.co/3aIEI2A

@rajvivan @tableau How nice it would be if we also got a proper "Export to Excel" button. My customers asking for something like that all the time and we always have to do it with a workaround.

@AdamMico1 @tableau A great idea. I have also recently started to measure my data and want to lose 7kg as well. I think I'll use your Viz as a basis for my measurements.

My #TableauFF this week is @PawanSTableau. It looks like Pawan just joined Twitter a few weeks ago but is building up a really nice Tableau Public Portfolio. Let's give Pawan a warm welcome, and make sure to give them a follow here and on Public

@flerlagekr @VizWizBI An absolutely great work. I am looking at all your calculations and I think I found an error in example 4. If you are using a ref-line you don't need to pack that into a second LOD. The first one is completely enough. The line then acts like a Window_max on your LOD

Last month, @VizWizBI shared his Great Workbook of Table Calcs, LODs, and Actions. He mentioned that I was working on something similar for LODs. I've finally finished blog post and workbook, so I'm happy to share my "20 Use Cases for LODs" flerlagetwins.com/2020/02/lod-us…

@chris_vizes I have the same problem. I love building new things in tableau. For me it's like playing with Lego. I spend my evenings relaxing with it. But when I'm done with some cool calculation, I don't feel like writing it all down anymore :D

writing blogs is hard... I've spent most of today working on one and it's not even very good. I struggle to find motivation to complete them once I start. Any tips to keep motivated?

@AlagoaBlair @tableau Considering you're just starting with Tableau, this is a great job. You have used many different techniques and it looks very good. If you continue like this, you will build many more great dashboards.

Hello #datafam ! I'm new to @tableau and I've had a great time teaching myself while working on a viz over the past few weeks. I'd be ever so grateful for some feedback on my viz if possible, I think there's no substitute for collaborative learning! public.tableau.com/profile/blair.…
