No, but it isn’t as bad as some might think. Step 1: We need to get the rough average population of black Americans over the 98 years. We can use the census to determine an average of 11% to 12%. Step 2: We need to exclude the 31 non-Americans that won best actor. This means that 67 Americans won best actor. Why? If we didn’t, we would need to calculate based on world population instead of the population of the United States, which wouldn’t make sense in this context. Step 3: Calculate the low and high expected best actor wins by black men for the years an American won. At 11.0%: 67 × 11% ≈ 7.4 At 12.0%: 67 × 12% ≈ 8.0 Expected best actor wins by black men: 7 to 8 Step 4: Compare expected (7 to 8) to actual (6). Black men have been underrepresented by 1 or 2 best actor wins. Step 5: Is this statistically significant? “In short: Statistically, 6 vs. 7–8 is not a significant deviation—it’s plausibly just sampling variability. The adjusted gap is small enough that we cannot confidently reject the idea that Black actor wins have been roughly proportional among American winners over this long period.”

@O_ladele @cowrywise They should have left the option for individual funds though. So we can choose the more stock intensive one. What's helping me now is that I had the ARM aggressive one. So I can still add more to it.

@cowrywise You should have left the option to invest in individual mutual funds, instead of removing the option totally. Some of us still want some control over what we invest in. Now I'll have to find other alternatives.
