We should offer Russia to be fully brought into the West. Open up trade with them. Make them a part of the Visa Waiver Program in America. Offer them NATO membership. Maybe if we stop treating them like garbage they’ll actually become our friend. Why has no one even tried this method before?

@philjostsons @RestIsPolitics @RoryStewartUK The the quirk in the Senate was rectified and is more representative now. But in the House, preferential voting is absolutely more democratic than FPTP. The democratic result is the consensus candidate. It may seem like just numbering boxes, but it's a conversation between voters

@grantwyeth @RestIsPolitics @RoryStewartUK There's a legal explaination for the senate election of Ricky Muir in 2013 with 479 first preference votes. Did we think it was representative? I actually think he became a decent senator. My point is, the system could be better. My opinion was just that. As yours is not fact.

@philjostsons @RestIsPolitics @RoryStewartUK Compulsory voting and preferential voting are far superior to optional voting and FPTP. Compulsory voting guards against extremism and builds civic investment, and preferential voting is both more democratic, but also build consensus.

@TheRichFromCali We (the free world) don't care what Donald Trump does now. We understand clearly that the USA is not part of the free world. Their only interest is in making money. I hope that makes you feel great. Maybe that was what MAGA was all about to in the first place?
