This is bullshit and I used to believe it myself. Apple wants to scapegoat the EU. Siri is shit not because EU regulation wouldn’t allow a better Siri, but because Apple decided so.

@somenuso @ytrav_alt @KDHabibi @Google Even though this is an indirect election, alot of democracies build on this priciple (e.g. Germany). Each Comissioner is appointed by their State (by elected governments) and then approved or rejected by the European Parliament.

This seems to be device specific, my 16 pro still has the original effect. I assume the new version is used on older devices to save processing power/battery life

@COMPUTERC4T As I mentioned, the effect is much more noticeable on an iPad. On an iPhone, you can see the difference because the RGB is spread out much less horizontally and, instead, warped significantly. Additionally, you have many more mirrored reflections in the vertical direction.
