Tocchet was a Danny hire. Not a Jones hire. Not a Hilferty hire. Jones and Hilferty won't go over Danny's head to fire Tocchet without also firing Danny. They're telling Briere to get this shit under control. It's usual corporate backstabbing but transparently so.

I wonder if people picked up on what Hilferty said. I think he was being coy "I've had 3 season ticket owners text me and say that we should stick to what we're doing with these players and this coaching staff!" Hilferty isn't dumb. He knows the follow-up "Really? Only 3?"
