@PalmyrPar Nothing to see here, folks. No sexual objectification of the male form. Just look away.

Proud to announce that my organized panel has been rejected by APSA.🙌 The good news is that my peaches will be ripening by then and this rejection frees up time and money to attend an actually good conference, like @ACTC5.

@BrandonWarmke How did Jason Stanley get a pass from the UT DEI regime? Maybe 🤔 it was the TDS diagnosis, treated as a disability

The Univ of Toronto is hiring a scientist, but you must identify as a woman, a "gender minority," a "racialized person," Indigenous, or disabled. Remember, this only happens in the humanities, not in STEM, and never in the US bc faculty here are different and don't discriminate.

@Tyler_A_Harper Dist bet doing & studying activism is often lost. Mellon wants scholars to engage in activism thru scholarship. Media consults Antifa “expert” @RutgersU re: orgs goals and methods, & he responds strategically, it’s a non-entity. Politics obscure truth. Activist’s goal is to win.

First Charlie Kirk. Then a professor assaults a journalist on a university campus. Inspired by Lynne Tirrell’s thesis that words are weapons (toxic speech metaphor). Political violence and incivility are now perfectly acceptable among the professoriate.

There's so much revulsion around the term 'pedophilia' that people are afraid to push back on it even when the term is obviously being misused. So this makes the word a very effective weapon for those who want to use it to go after their political enemies. x.com/mtracey/status…

If any sexual contact with persons aged 16 or 17 is now presumptively considered "pedophilia," it's really strange that 37 states have chosen to legally enable pedophilia. Do you live, for example, in Maryland or Nebraska? If so, you're in the midst of an ongoing pedo crime spree

"But it's just showing empathy! What's wrong with modeling empathy for our students?" Oh I've seen this world famous empathy when it comes to people with politics you dislike.

Professors will observe some political event that angers them and then re-engineer their Intro to Ethics class for a week to "speak to what we are seeing." But I highly doubt they do this fairly or responsibly, esp bc they only do this for the things that personally anger them.
