Shout out to the driver of last night’s @GWRHelp 1F33 2030 Cardiff - Portsmouth. Delayed 25 mins awaiting our Guard, but rather than sit in his cab or in a rest room the driver was out on the platform throughout the delay, proactively informing customers. Great customer service!

This is absolutely insane, and heart breaking for a local family owned independent company. Massive well done to the team there for getting through the weekend and keeping the show on the road, and huge appreciation for industry colleagues who have stepped in to help

Sampling some rail replacement French-style for a change. Sadly they won’t let me drive. Views aren’t bad though.

Great visit to our Leicester depot today, co-hosting some local authority colleagues as we showcase the hugely impressive work of our engineering and decarbonisation teams to deliver a class-leading fully electrified depot, as part of a class-leading Enhanced Partnership

Great to see clear tool signage at our newly reacquired Westbourne Park Garage. Handy if anyone needs any nuts cracking!

Two good results tonight. A massive 2-1 away win for Luton at Cardiff, and (perhaps a bit less dramatic) a really good ride there and back with an excellent driver on the @Cardiffbus stadium shuttle service

It’s such a great level to watch football, freedom to wander round the ground and close to the action. And a terrific win for the Badgers to top it off!

Many thousands of bus industry types before me will have visited the very impressive Wright bus factory at Ballymena. I have a hunch that not too many will have arrived by bus. A great multi-modal journey to get here!

The flare from the nearby refinery, just visible above the trees, gives away the location of today’s #nonleague entertainment - my first visit to @fawleyafc where @Romseytownfc1 were the visitors. A great little ground, very welcoming, and a cracking end-to-end match. Brilliant!

An enjoyable morning exploring Maesteg, Port Talbot and Bridgend by bus and train. Shame the weather lived up to the yellow warning for rain, taking the edge off the scenery, but everything ran to time and always good to get out and about

I really like the new Stockport Interchange. Great design which creates an attractive, welcoming facility that works well in a constrained site

With grateful thanks to @paulnutman74 my entertainment this evening was a brief drive of this! Huge fun, but with the weight of the clutch and accelerator, and lack of power steering, I take my hat off to any firefighter that actually managed to reach a fire in the early ‘80s!

Managed an action-packed hour in Great Yarmouth this afternoon, during which I walked a mile and a half, caught a rare Scania Fencer and even cruised along the coast with the top down (not mine, for the sake of public decency!). Sadly, Joyland will have to wait for a future visit

Great visit to the @EastSomersetRly this morning. Dedicated, helpful staff and volunteers who are clearly passionate about what they do, and a pleasant, relaxing ride through the countryside. Nice lunch at the Station Cafe too!
