@GrillOfCenter@DESI0RE If you're a functional and good parent you probably don't need any, but that doesn't contradict OPs Statement. There are a lot of cases where people can actually reflect on their own childhood, their parents or of friends and deduce good opinions and advice
@philwhd@DESI0RE If what they’re doing is retarded, surely other parents will also point it out, hence why I leave room for it. But I have yet to get any good prescriptive advice from any non-parents.
@GrillOfCenter@DESI0RE If parents are obviously retarded you can easily give prescriptive advice. A lot of parents are retarded and are just salty when they get valid advice, because it hurts their ego
@DESI0RE As long as it’s in a form of helpful brainstorming as opposed to prescriptive advice, sure. I’ll hear anyone out if I run out of ideas. But don’t tell me how to raise my child if you ain’t got one.
@yearncel Makes me have quite mild and short colds and flus ever since. Dunno if vitD actually boosts Testo, but I build good muscle with low effort since I regularly supplement vitD
@yearncel Amazon and even supermarket supplements range from dangerous substances to junk sadly. With pharmacy grade sups I definitely feel a change over a longer time frame. Not that it vitalises you on the spot, but esp vitD+K, vitC and zinc daily and in big amounts when a cold builds up
Maybe it’s just me but over the years i’ve never felt an ounce of difference from any kind of supplement combination I can buy directly on amazon. All just seems like cope
@tuttle2024@BradChilling@hunbred What a remarkable observation that quality isn't quantity. No EPMD alone cant piss all over the 2010s. ~2012 probably had one of the biggest explosions of new artists coming up with a huge range of creativity. The sheer amount of great rappers is just too much
@philwhd@BradChilling@hunbred Not at all. Quantity is not quality. Very few to no good rappers in 2010s unless they were active in the 80s and 90s and are still going such as EPMD. 88 alone can piss all over the entire 2010s. Literally. History bares this out. The bar and standards are so low in 2010s & now
@tuttle2024@BradChilling@hunbred In 1988 you could. 1985 forward was the time when hip hop profiliated the music market. Run dmc and LL basically the first. The 80s are strong but its basically just ~20 available albums you could call classic at most. With about ~10 note worthy MCs/groups
@philwhd@BradChilling@hunbred Hardest, isn't contextual consumer available music. In 1988 you could buy album after album of groundbreaking rap. It was available. It sold. It may not have had the exposure that the dross nowadays has, which is because of changes in media and access to technology and marketing.
@tuttle2024@BradChilling@hunbred Obviously in a chain of causality there wouldnt be the later if not for the former... But according to that some 1950s proto rap song would be the best rap song... Stupid. The 2010s have more good rappers than the 80s, its simple quantity
@philwhd@BradChilling@hunbred The comment was about the 90s having the hardest rappers.which still isn't true. Without the 80s, there would be no 90s Golden Era. It's erased because of poor historical record. 2010 hip-hop isn't a patch on the late 80s or 90-95. It's not remotely interesting- it's forgettable
@tuttle2024@BradChilling@hunbred But the 80s simply didnt have enough artists that produced commercially available music you can still listen to today. Its a handful of great stuff sure, but thats it. The amount of great 2010 hip hop is simply more in quantity, which makes it more interesting period
@tuttle2024@BradChilling@hunbred Bla blah muh mumble rap. Look, culturally speaking hip hop existed at its peak in the 80s, before it became a commercial music genre. But the context here is consumer available music. The late 80s have some of the biggest classics eg it takes a nation/
@RevolverJerm Heavily promoted so far that non gangster rappers had struggled to establish themselves in the mainstream before kanye. Its a simplistic reduction for sure. But there were probably think tanks with media ties that shipped gangster rap promotion
@RevolverJerm Its just the simplification. Obv it wasnt started by the CIA or by some other evil entity. For protection of national unity it was first seen as a problem. But its hard to deny that intelligence is deeply integrated into the media industry and gangster rap was later/
@AntoniusOhii This doesn't contradict being flexible for success. His statement is either provocative or was made because political operations contradict christian virtues
@AntoniusOhii Didn't read Machiavelli yet, so I can't confirm his statement or his argument. But except for some perceptions of christian morality, its simply wrong. You need an ethical and cultural framework for society to exist and that for politics to exist
Getting mad at Machiavelli for objectively describing how principalities work is like getting mad at your biology professor for objectively describing predation. I genuinely believe this whole Machiavelli was an evil sociopath thing is a psyop to keep us from reading him.
@CoededMarshall To the "what counts as a classic" debate. All albums that can be put in a collage like this and are directly recognized (by fans of the genre) are classics
@CamClueless@kwonalonzo This would be the same 50+ years ago. Humans were not retarded back then and thought "oh golly it's a signed paper" they could also snitch. As far as I know the release form of dr.dre was nullified. The whole mafia thing worked only when the threat was certain retribution
@CamClueless@kwonalonzo Yeah which means he isn't scared and also he doesn't play by the street rules. I apparently have to clarify, he was obv scared when guns were pointed at him, but he doesn't fear any retribution. He will just keep his guard up now and watch that retard go to jail.
