1/ The @BritAthletics policy of only taking medalists and top 8 athletes is going to hinder not only an athletes development but also their chance to become full time athletes. I know that their policy standard (for a lot of events) is based on the IAAF standard.

@mattelias400h @jackrbuckner Time to bring in new UK national athletics body that THINKS only for the athletes: if so many athletes think UKA are out of touch then the federation needs to disbanded ASAP

With how ridiculous WC standards are & don’t get me started on UKA not accepting invites… There should have been a FULL pre/post event timetable. To allow ALL British athletes the opportunity of hitting a Q mark & the chance to compete in the Olympic stadium! #whatlegacy

Honestly it’s getting to the stage I think athletes should stand up against them. Boycott British champs. Why even bother running there, 0 to gain for most. British athletics would crumble almost instantly without the athletes.

.@BritAthletics you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. The fact Lina will be eligible to compete in Budapest (via world rankings) yet you won’t send her because she doesn’t have the standard is so damn wrong and unfair. Lina I’m so sorry 💔

World Athletics should allow athletes to run under their flag if a federation turns down their invite... Otherwise, what's the point in having a ranking system if only SOME federations accept it!?

Ever wondered what a professional runner eats in a day while training for a marathon? We highly recommend this video by @philybowden . Find out what she eats during her long run and what she has for meals. And most importantly, why! youtu.be/8ZjZizdj1AQ

1/ I don't understand the thought process of this. He should know World Athletics and British Athletics raised their standards a couple of years ago. It's already harder than it's ever been to make a team. Less athletes representing Britain at majors doesn't help the sport grow.

LOL. British champs might actually be non existent in a few years. For athletes outside selection where is the motivation to go to a very dull British champs where athletes who have already been selected won’t even compete. British indoors was a prime example of this.

‼️Females in Sport‼️ Twitter friends, has anyone come across or had anyone provide a workshop to young girls around the topic of “playing sports around your period”? Would be very interested if anyone has any info. If you can RETWEET that would be great! 😁

@seddon89x Womens Euros ⚽️ Wimbledon Road Cycling world championships 3 that were free to watch on BBC very recently, how many people were inspired by those performances that can’t afford to see what’s behind a paywall? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Can’t name another sport that is free to watch though ..

Trying to watch @EliudKipchoge on his way to a world record in Berlin, with no free option to watch it anywhere without a VPN subscription, or paying £30 a month for flotrack. And people wonder why our sport isn’t where it used to be 🙃

@aathorner @EliudKipchoge @FloTrack @runnerspace It’s incredibly expensive though, and like you say, quite a lot of US/NCAA races which to be honest I wouldn’t watch much of! Shame to have to pay so much for the major races, a WR attempt is such a moment in history.. surely they want more people to see that

@philybowden @EliudKipchoge You can dip in and out of @FloTrack so you don’t need to pay the subs every month in the same way you would pay for a pay per view boxing event on Sky except you get a whole months worth of viewing. We use it a lot to watch our kids compete in the US along with @runnerspace
