@oliviaakory hey Olivia, big fan of the content you share and the team at Mejuri. Surprised that the upper-funnel campaigns that were tested here were optimizing for page views or ATC. Am I understanding correctly the only difference was lower-funnel optimized for sale conversion?

Our new case study with Mejuri (awesome team, awesome brand) has a narrative arc we’re seeing more and more. After running an initial test on Meta, Mejuri learned that Meta drove a significant lift to their business, but failed to meet their target iROAS goal. Mejuri suspected their Meta ads were reaching the same high-intent customers. So they shifted 25% of their budget to upper-funnel campaigns, then ran a three-week test with a two-week post-treatment window. Check out the chart below for the results. Simply put, upper-funnel campaigns successfully reached new audiences and drove more incremental revenue. And the post-treatment window gave them more insight into the buying cycle, telling them Meta’s true impact probably has a longer tail.

@digitallynativ You hang out with the wrong marketers. If a marketer is strongly advocating for discounts either they don't understand their role, or the role is misunderstood and being measured/incentivized incorrectly in the organization.

Here's the story. I have access to 2,979 PMax ecommerce campaigns. It's probably not the biggest single sample of the market. GroupM or whoever prob has more. But GroupM is not going to drill the data and share what they found with you. I will. (1/n) #ppcchat

@mikeryanretail Hey Mike, thanks for sharing! Are you able to share any general observations wrt incrementality in tests you have run? I believe PMax is able to drive more reported conversions with same tROAS constraints, just seems on balance unlikely to be incremental given how it works.

15/ On the balance of rigor vs ease, probably the best method for determining the incrementality of PMax is geo split testing We do this using Google Matched Markets. It's wonderful. You have full control of your experiment. github.com/google/matched…

I recently learned that Zappos, the company famous for having a fully internal CX team, all based in US… Actually isn’t fully based in the US and leverages nearshore (Jamaica etc.) help. Anyone know of any 9-10 figure DTC business that is keeping CX fully internal & US-based?
