Very few people OWNED an encyclopedia, dictionaries too. You mostly found those in schools and libraries. Though I think i did technically own a small dictionary, so if that counts the only ones im missing are. 16 and 19. I also didn't do anything with a fax machine until 2008. @CryptoTyranus @otokyo__ In the 80s every house had a dictionary, and sets of encyclopedias were so common people sold them door to door, and there were late night infomercials for discount ones. (They were almost always more current than the public school textbooks we got)
