A Wicklow farmer told me he has been on call for nearly 200 calf births on his farm. He does the nights to allow his staff “to work safely during the day”. I did 19 years as a junior doctor and GP doing night call followed by a full days work. Very unsafe.

@sinnfeinireland @MaryLouMcDonald As I understand it the price of oil is going up and retailers are passing on the increase. It’s always been the case to avoid business failing that retail price is based on replacement cost. Failure to re-act would eventually cause cash flow problem. Just saying !
