@Oluwaphilemon1 Well, if K3 is so much cheaper, it means you can ask it for more improvements. Would be interesting to see the comparison for the same amount $$$ spent.
Opus 5 battles Kimi K3; cooking GPT-5.6 and Claude Fable 5.
Two AI models got the same brief: rebuild three real games from scratch in
Godot.
Same screenshots, same engine, no downloaded assets even the sound
effects are generated by code. Each model could look at its own build only
10 times. After that, it was flying blind.
Opus 5 (Anthropic) vs Kimi K3 (Moonshot).
Steep, Hollow Knight: Silksong and Fall Guys, rebuilt from nothing.
I gave each model feedback between runs and let them iterate.
Some of what came back genuinely surprised me and the difference you can't see turned out to be more interesting than the one you can.

@schmikity@JeffreyLiss@novogratz LOL, you got butt-hurt, called me a name, and blocked me. Looks like I was spot on. You are yet another far leftie pretending to be moderate. Just like AOC.
Kamala Harris shouldn’t run for President. She was back of the pack in 2020 and was wiped out in 2024. The Dems need a strong center left candidate to not only win but to heal the country. Focus on what matters: affordability, wealth gap, rational and pro growth immigration, and AI.
There are at least 6 strong candidates that meet this criteria!
Gonna be a busy Q4 and Q1 2027
@unclebobmartin@ori_pomerantz When one is not sure of the strength of the argument one leans on other unrelated personal qualities such as age, height, etc.
“I am significantly taller than you. Therefore my argument is stronger.”
I am trying to use Claude to help me write something, but I just don't feel comfortable letting it edit my files. Does anybody else feel the same? If I am responsible for code, I NEED to understand it, psychologically if for no other reason.
Started programming in 1983. Old?
@photographer__@JeffreyLiss@novogratz Out of everything you mentioned only 2 of these are far-left and it's defunding the police and abolishing prisons lol
@Landeur@alifnomad If you import the most entrepreneurial people on the planet for a few hundred years, you don't end up with the same DNA. Even if USA imported just Britain's best minds, you would still end up with different DNA.
This will sound incomprehensible to many people, but this could have been Britain.
We could easily have become leaders in AI and space if we wished to.
Instead we built an international welfare state.
@schmikity@JeffreyLiss@novogratz You're out of your mind. She called capitalism "irredeemable", she called for defunding the police, abolishing ICE, abolishing border wall, abolishing prisons, abolishing minimum sentences, abolishing life sentences.
@TheLouieCo@DavidSacks Kimi K3 is getting very close to their top model performance at a fraction of the cost. This is the reason you can't see somehow.
It makes zero sense for Anthropic to hurt open source at this point, so I’m puzzled. Their customer base? Fortune 500 enterprise. They already have most of them locked in.
Those same customers, if you piss them off , have the manpower, the money & the resources to just go open source, like MS did
Anthropic isn't competing with startups anymore. They're competing with their own customers leaving. bad moves like this, and that client suddenly finds it more attractive to fine-tune
Keep em happy & they won't leave. Push too hard, and you've just handed open source its biggest enterprise champions
The entire tech industry (save for Anthropic) has come out in favor of open source AI.
So what happens next? Will Anthropic change its lobbying efforts? Not likely. Now the gaslighting begins:
“Nobody is trying to ban open source.”
“We just want to limit who can use it.”
“We just want to limit who can contribute to it.”
“We just want to limit how powerful those models can be.”
“We just want to make sure the guardrails (we lobbied for) can’t be removed.”
The net effect will be the same. They won’t stop until they kneecap open source. The rest of the industry needs to watch these guys like a hawk.
@JamesMuchLesser I'm currently using the $20 plan with OpenAI, mostly coding with Codex, but also asking tons of questions about life, science, health. I'm yet to hit a limit.
I'm ready to dump grok as a subscription; I ask it a dozen questions and I hit my limit for the day.
I suppose this is the way of AI in the future.
I may go back to chatgpt.
@BaT_MaN_23@grok The bridge in your picture is like 100 miles tall. The tallest mountain on our planet is 5.5 miles tall. This bridge would sink two continents, rupture the crust and kill everyone on the planet.
I am now a fan of AI dev, took a long time but I find them very capable now.
I still read a lot of code, write a lot of code, but I am much more of a fan now.
The thing I am liking a lot right now is structure refactoring. I want to change an entire way i am doing something. I can explore so many different styles and come to the conclusion of the one i like the best
@BIG_MORRISE Claude has good models, but they are now bordering on the unusable due to the guardrails. It's hard to trust something that randomly stops working.
#Grok has the noise.
#Mistral has the specs.
#Gemini has the money.
#ChatGPT has the users.
#DeepSeek has the price.
#Llama has the openness.
#Perplexity has the search.
#Claude has something none of them can buy — THE TRUST.
Just my personal favorite, don't get triggered lol.
