Check out the awesome work @temi_coker did for the #Juneteenth twitter banner. His work always makes my jaw drop, but this piece is making it hit the floor. ITS SO GOOD!

@RodyZakovich I’ve seen similar bugs when using rounding functions within calculated fields, or if there’s weird cacheing happening

Tableau fam, I need to know who else has seen this. I have 2 people loading the same dashboard on 2 computers, 1 is seeing a calc come back as 89.5, the other as 89.4.....anyone got ideas?

Your attention please. If you want to try a version of Tableau that supports Vector maps, includes Satellite Imagery, Terrain, Building Footprints, and more, out of the box, proceed without caution: prerelease.tableau.com/key/VectorTile… 🎄🗺️🚀

@WindsCogley I don't see a practical difference beyond one being a buzzword and one not being a buzzword.

Is it possible to be a #dataScientist without code? Sure, I have on the list to learn Python, but curious what I should be called today. I can pull down data from APIs, perform all kinds of analysis in Alteryx and Tableau, regex to my heart's content, and use ML with DataRobot.

@WindsCogley Which brings about a related question: is our professional identity found in our job title or in our ability? It should be based on our ability, but it's commonly based on our title.

@WindsCogley So I guess for me it comes down to knowledge of statistics, not programming abilities. With a tool like DataRobot I can start getting into data science, but my inability to do it without the tool is why I don't consider myself a data scientist.

@WindsCogley I think anyone with a PhD in Data Science or Statistics could work with data and call themselves a data scientist. I'd say that others can be data scientists if they have a robust understanding of statistics.

@WindsCogley To me, that feels like a slap in the face to the true data scientists out there. I'm unsure of where exactly the line should be, but I do want to respect those who put a lot of work into getting their PhD, because they deserve the title.

@WindsCogley What I've seen a lot in companies is that they want to say they have a data science department, and the bar for being in that department is VERY low (people who can't work with data outside of excel called a data scientist).
