I've been tossing and turning on ChatGPT. I had to write something. To be honest, I don't jump on bandwagons easily. This thing has me hooked. @projectedxyzed/3-reasons-you-shouldnt-sleep-on-chatgpt-ccc819750b08" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@projectedxyze

@sama What's untenable about the current system economics? If your SaaS was an ISV using the API's would they be in the black?

an idea for paid plans: your $20 plus subscription converts to credits you can use across features like deep research, o1, gpt-4.5, sora, etc. no fixed limits per feature and you choose what you want; if you run out of credits you can buy more. what do you think? good/bad?

I need recommendations for a laptop travel backpack. I was traveling a few months ago and my bag let go. I had to buy a replacement in the airport and it's been okay. It's actually a high-quality bag but lacks some features I would have noticed if I hadn't been in a hurry.

@mim_djo I'm hoping for an event driven way to kick off pipelines and notebooks in fabric--not seen it yet!

Pro tip: if you have a notebook job that you care about in #Fabric , don't schedule directly but use Data pipeline - You can control concurrency - You can control timeout Data pipeline is virtually free and can save you a lot of Capacity Units.

@PawarBI We're using Power BI embedded and this one is a conundrum for us. Can this memory value be trusted to plan for refresh? Is it available before the first refresh?

@DMaslyuk Bit awkward name, but “model” much better than “dataset” as it better describes what it is.

"Our cloud spend (sans-S3) is down by 60% already. From around $180,000/month to less than $80,000. That's a cool million dollars in savings at the yearly run rate. Just absolutely bonkers amount of money straight to the bottomline." world.hey.com/dhh/our-cloud-…

@notaboutthecell I agree item level security would be too much. I think it'd be great to just have folders to arrange everything. Folks can then choose to expand hierarchy individually or all at once-- kinda like in DevOps. Combine that with the ability for saving a "view" based on persona?

@eldar_dragomir @mim_djo The enterprise agreements (incumbency) and 1st to market Generative AI Productization in the Modern Data Stack (Power BI Copilot) But I agree, the supply chain is heavy on Open Source goodness elsewhere. It's a game of catch me if you can.

@mim_djo Snowflake and Databricks are so popular now and used everywhere, I think in current state companies are happy with their stack and Microsoft/AWS don't have any unique features... Am I wrong? What's the point to try/change for other stack?

People paying attention predicted that it was only a matter of time before #Microsoft and #AWS Catch up to #Snowflake and #Databricks, I think this happened this year, what's next for the market?

#PowerBI Premium experts: are there best practices for ensuring that Analyze-in-Excel queries don't hog capacity resources? Just don't enable the feature in the first place? Struggling with sporadic high-cpu-usage queries generated from Excel, even on "optimized" models...
