@lesbiashe @caro_irl You can recycle a colored rune back into your rune deck—you can do the same with one piece, but OP has a generic resource while Riftbound is colored. youre unlikely to get color screwed with Riftbound but it is theoretically possible, and likely your fault if you do. which is fun

@caro_irl ive only seen a little bit of riftbound, but a major mechanic in that game is like a more "serious" way to generate resources from their land equivalents, right? like i think it returns to hand or disables it during the next turn or something, idr. but that is interesting to me

many post-mtg tcgs have tried to atone for magic's sins by "fixing" its mana system. out of curiosity, i would like to see what another tcg with a resource design very similar to magic's would look like
