Day 1 of the Ms. Jones-themed "Courtesy of Cupid" Valentine's event is in the books! Students met to play literary/author jeopardy & win copies of her new Middle Grade Smith & Schuster novel. Next they'll get to pick her (creative) brain @ a Q&A/Book Signing session! @powhatanhs

Ms. Duncan's English 11 students got their hands mucky this morning as they linked Poe's "The Masque of the Red Death" with their own silhouettes. @powhatanhs

The PHS Readers & Writers Club has been busy as of late... hosting a Winter Book Jenga contest for Ms. Robinson's Early Childhood Education child care class & reading holiday books to youngsters @ Flat Rock Elementary! @PowhatanHS

Ms. Vandell's Algebra Functions students were "all in" during a Slope & Line station project as they used the Library's new PEF (Powhatan Education Foundation) grant-funded Ipads to capture perpendicular & parallel lines during a courtyard exploration. @PowhatanHS

Following a spooky book scavenger hunt, Readers & Writers Club members spent some quality time this week hosting the Early Child Care Education class Haloween Read Aloud : ) @PowhatanHS

Ms. Burks' AP Psychology students showed off their creative stop motion skills in the library this week during their action potential & neuron transmission replication project! @PowhatanHS

After researching Earth's major spheres, environmental science students meshed tech with art as they created 3D globes featuring all four spheres. @PowhatanHS
